Why??

Because they skipped Comic-Con. The Amazing Spider-Man was at Comic-Con, and they had footage to show of the movie. I'm hoping for at least more detail on the plot, and more insight as to who the threat will be. I'm fine with a little mystery, but when there's a full on invasion happening I want to know who's leading it. The most I can hope for is movie footage, though. Fingers crossed, even though I doubt they'll show any.

I assumed just an extra for the scene. Someone fleeing as that thing comes crashing down. Maybe the driver of one of the cars.

But Its not necessarily mandatory just because another movie has done this I think the mystery is a good thing we dont need to know really we just want to know ..If u know its an invasion thats good enough

Awesome video with Cap taking a beating. The pics are cool too. The blonde waitress rumored to be Scarlett Johanson, (unless it is just me) she looks to be just a regular actress playing a waitress. There seems to be a lot of photos being shot of what I believe to be civilians trying to escape the destruction. Not sure what to make of the photo of the Scarab / Chariot vehicle. I can really see it being either way. I'm so confused right now , but enjoying every minute of it. t:

I'm loving these photos/footage as well. The waitress is getting one on one time with Joss so, she must have some important scene. What's with the guy getting in to the cab? Is he fighting or pushing someone?

It looks to me like Cap is going to get knocked completely out of a building and on to a car in the street below. The stunt padding is in place and I bet they shoot that stuff last.

Poni Boy says its not an entire race of invaders, discarding the Skrull & Kree armies. He says its a smaller faction in which each individual character has a name/personality. He said it won't be The Celestials, The Eternals or The Deviants either. So far he hasn't shot down The Inhumans, or our latest theory of Kang & his minions based on the wrecked ship/chariot. He also said The Skrulls & The Kree will be mentioned in the film, but won't be the invading force. I just hope whatever smaller group of invaders it ends up being, that the movie won't feel like a remake of Masters of The Universe (with those alleged chariots).

Of course it isn't, I never said it was mandatory. Marvel Studios held off on Comic-Con, because Disney wanted to save them for D23. I'm expecting something impressive because of it.

I mean, it's definitely a group with distinct characters. I'd kind of prefer they make it a bigger threat (that pic and recent discussion gives me renewed hope for Kang), and save the U-Foes for a future Hulk movie.

That's getting more obscure. They're mostly Hulk villains anyway, not Avengers villains.

Kang is what I'm leaning towards the most now with that crashed ship/chariot. The resemblance to the Scarabs is spot-on.

I'm just gonna be patient until D23. Kang sounds about right, but I'm sick of guessing. I'm just ready for the reveal already.

I'm a lot more anxious to see Thor and the other Avengers on set.

Bobby, I'm with ya. Marvel doesn't need to reveal every aspect of the film's plot, but it'd be nice if they give us a nice reveal of the invaders to put an end to this brutal speculation. Thanos, Kang, Ronan...just give us something, Marvel.

that doesn't mean it's not a fraction of a race (thus still including the kree) according to your own logic, that would also discount the inhumans.. which are an entire race as well. He's also never said that the Kree arn't the invading force, nor getting mentioned, he's only referred to that being to the skrulls on several accounts.

Spideyboy, The Inhumans are a small group which Poni Boy says is what The Avengers will be facing. He did however discard the notion of an entire army being the invaders, scratching The Kree & Skrull empires off the list. Now, it could be a small faction of Kree or Skrull warriors as we discussed yesterday. But based on that crashed ship/chariot I'm thinking Kang & his peeps.
