I just want to say thanks to the SHH homepage for posting all those Avengers footage links in QT. Getting Internet back on Friday and my phone can only play youtube and qt. So I'm still able to see all the footage. thank you again.

Whoa. First time ever seeing the faces of those two. I don't know what ran over El Mayimbe but I bet it hurt.

El Mayimbe isn't like what I expected. Not sure what I was expecting though.

I didn't see any video. Just a text story.

He had a thick NY accent, which surprised me.

Anyway, if they ever decide to do that again I hope they choose a spot other than a windy, noisy NYC street.

Anyone ever see those avengers assemble webisodes some fans made. I think they are just fans. They dress up as different avengers and have meetings about typical stuff. Some are funny some are ok but still pretty cool seeing all the different avengers. You can find them on YouTube.

I think Downey is the only actor they will do everything possible to keep on as long as possible. Look at Sony still bringing everyone back for MIB3.

Alan Rickman playing Snape well into his 60's. Downey is only 46. He will have just turned 47 when Avengers comes out. He will be at about 48 when Iron Man 3 comes out.

Think about this. Look at Harrison Ford and how he was in The Last Crusade and he was older than Downey is right now when it came out. I see no reason Downey can't play this role up to age 50 if he wanted. Actors generally always play younger than they actually are.

Hiddleston is up there as well as is Coulson IMO.

There are Avengers links on IGN but I can't view them, can anyone pull them up?

I got, in one of them he talks how the roster will change for sequels.

On the next link Feige says:

"And that army is not just stuntmen in mocap suits. It'll be extremely, extremely large and something that links not only into the movies we've made but the movies we're going to make. So it's a big play that we're not quite ready to talk about."

So did he give away who the villain is? When he says not only links the movies we made. What villain/presence has been seen in the movies so far?

Well the good thing about stark is it doesn't take any physicality to play him and iron man is cg. So rdj can do it for a long time. The only problem might be those closeup shots of stark with no helmet and the practical torso piece. That's if they keep that up. Depending on the cg they could do away with it and rdj would have an easier time. I'm not saying keep rdj till he is a crust. Olde timer, just that he could make it for a couple more. Or maybe he could just show up later in cameos as stark only.

Anyway The Thor cast has the greatest resolution to aging actors. Just finish their story with ragnarok and when you decide to start a new story you can recast with a fresh start.

Several of the Bond actors played the character into their 50's

Connery and Brosnan played Bond at least one film too many, and Moore was famously too old for the part by the time he finally quit. The Bond model is definitely not one to follow.

That said, if the Avengers sequel has a really quick turnaround I think RDJ would probably go for it. After that, however, I think it's safe to say he'll be done with the character. We're talking 5 potential appearences in 6-7 years.

If The Avengers becomes a trilogy, you can count on RDJ to be having a major role in all 3.

I say he just plays an older Stark as he ages, then after Avengers 3 he can call it quits if he likes. I'm cool with the idea of an older, wiser Tony.

so it was leaked in the other thread that Silvestri will do the score.

Which movies did he score music for?? Never heard of Silvestri or have I? Depends on what he has scored.

Silvestri's Cap score was good, not great. I would've picked someone else to do it, like Michael Giacchino.

I can't picture anyone else as Stark, that's how much RDJ made the role his own.

Wolverine Origins still made an ass load of money even though First Class was the better film.

And I agree that they'll recast him as soon as RDJ is done, but Iron Man is far from being done in the movies.

I had a vision of a terrible, horrible world without RDJ's Tony Stark...and it made me cry... :csad:

And then they recast him with Colin Farrell...and I started believing again! :awesome:

Polux

Thor touches down(somehow) wearing his cool new rags, and cap and co head out to stop him/great him. He fears loki's involvement and they fight. After all is said and done they head back to base they are briefed and this is where Tony meet them all(including banner see trailer) and he tells Thor that he's got a mean swing.

that's what it looks like anyways.

It's gonna happen, so we might as well get used to the idea. The MCU as it's currently designed doesn't allow for reboots anytime soon, so a new Tony Stark is inevitable.

As much as I love RDJ as Stark, I'm positive that someone else can do the role justice, so long as they find someone as committed to getting into the character's head as RDJ.
