Just going to put this out there- Hawkeye.Is.A.Legend.

If Jeremy as Hawkeye steals the show then something will be terribly wrong with the movie, imo. I hope it doesn't happen.

Yeah I disagree with Feige there unless this movie is rated R and he starts putting arrows through aliens necks and eyballs then no, Renner or anybody else for that matter can not steal the show with a bow and arrow

The only thing that I hope for in the movie is that the Avengers decide to form apart from Shield using Stark's resources. I don't want them being a tool of Shield.

I agree 100 percent with you.My hope Is by end of film they sepeate from Shield. They
are suspose to be earth's mightest heroes not tools of Shield. This IS called The Avengers not the Ultimates.

I could see that happening but I don't think Nick Fury and SHIELD would go away completely.

No, they'll all be Hulkamaniacs :D

Whatcha gonna do brotherrr!

Orlando Bloom as Legolas seemed to do pretty well with his bow and arrows. :oldrazz:

Fury and SHIELD can still exist even if The Avengers become independent of them, and I hope at the end of the movie, both BW and Hawkeye will officially become members of The Avengers and not just SHIELD agents.

He sure did. And that was a pg13 movie.

And has anyone noticed that we havent seen any smiles from hawkeye yet? lol. He's a wisecrackin guy but he has no expression in anything weve seen of him from this movie. Not even in thor.

Agreed, to me that just feels like the next step. And plus that way they can still do SHIELD movie if they want.

Same here.

One of my worries about this film is that Fury will get too much screentime. Some may find that complaint weird but this film really should focus on the 4 main. Not to mention I don't think Jackson was right for Fury, I don't care if his likeness was used for the Ultimate version either. It's basically Sam Jackson being himself most of the time. Hopefully he steps it up for the actual film.

Not seeing the problem with Sam Jackson playing Sam Jackson, he's fantastic.

I've been reading the character of Nick Fury in the comics for 46 years......in only the last few of those has he sometimes been Sam Jackson in the comics....so, even though I like Sam Jackson as an actor, and think he is doing good in the role so far....count me in as one of those that wants to see more of Cap, Thor, BW, Iron Man, Hawkeye, and Nick Fury from the comics than of Sam Jackson being Sam Jackson.

I would also dig seeing somewhere at the end the Avengers decide to go about it on their own independent of SHIELD, but I wouldn't expect it. I think they are keeping it in the Ultimates style.

I mean how funny would that be that Fury comes up with and forms the Avengers and they instead stick it to him and go like, "Yeah good idea, we'll do it ourselves without you, nyah :p !" I mean that would be cinematically ironic and hilarious.

And yet....we seem to have visual proof that that's *exactly* what's gonna happen.

Revisit the Central Park "Saying Goodbye" set photos. *Everybody* is in civvies, except Thor and Loki, who are doing their Divine Ascension to Asgard thing. Even Hawkeye and Widow are in civvies. And even though there's a boatload of SHIELD agents standing guard, Samjack was nowhere to be seen during that scene....

....so all odds point to the Avengers sticking it to Fury and saying they'll do just fine on their own.

sam fury only brings em together i guess....they are all stand alone characters so they surely will have a problem being just a chained dog

The only way I see The Avengers splitting off from SHIELD is if Fury does something to seriously piss them off.

I think Hawkeye is ok...but he's my least favorite Avenger. Bow and arrow isn't all that exciting to me.

Have yall seen the Avengers featurette on the Captain America DVD? It gave me chills. I watched it with my room mates who I consider as part of the general audience and they couldn't stop talking about how badass it looked. I'm hearing people around me talk about it more and more, buzz is building and it's got me pumped.

I can understand that, but I'd think Marvel has taken that into account and will probably feature some awesome Hawkeye moments in the movie that will make people understand why 'just a dude with a bow and arrow' is on the team.

What Nick Fury? 616 or Ultimate?
