Jon Favreau was so upset at his mistreatment at the evil hands of Overlord Feige...

...that he came and hung out on the set of Avengers.

Favreau is a producer on this film. Should be no surprise he paid a set visit.

I dont think Favs was all that upset. I thought he left for the same reason kenneth did?

I'm not sure about that. From what I had read in interviews, Kenneth decided to not do Thor 2 because he didn't think that he could fully commit to it due to both his schedule, along with how it would require him to get back into it right away since Marvel wanted Thor 2 to be released in 2013, which is just 2 years after the first film's release.

From what I hear, Feig demanded they added a scene with a baseball field exploding as a runner slides into home base.

You got to love Youtube folks; why? When you go on there and type in "The Avengers", you get so many videos popping up saying that they're links to the ENTIRE movie..or Part 1 out of 4.:oldrazz::doh:

Maybe they're talking about that Ralph Feinnes/Uma Thurman monstrosity from a few years back. The producers of that turkey will probably reissue the DVD this year hoping to sucker some gullible folks into buying it instead of Marvel's The Avengers. That would be taking a page from the makers of the 1990 Captain America stink-bomb.

I think some people are overredacting to this rumor.

So, what is the Leviathan anyway? Is he a dragon, or a pteredactor?

Re shoots don't bother me, I just want the trailer this week

Since when is reshoot a dirty word? To me it means something wasn't as they wanted, so they touch it up. I'd rather them do that then just bust out a shoddy product.

A reshoot is like Shakespeare noticing a spelling mistake before he unleashes a masterpiece. Should he correct it before release or let it be.. & is the fact that there was a spelling mistake indicative of the quality of the final product?

I hope that comparison is indicative of how good Avengers will be.

Thats a good way of putting it.

We're not getting a trailer this week. Turns out Russian New Year is in February.

(Now that I've said that, watch it post within days. :word:)

lol Reshoots are mentioned and everyone immediately springs into action to pre-empt the trolls. TheMayor's legacy lives on.

:csad: I actually miss him. He was so annoying, he was actually entertaining. :woot:

the HeroClix news are quite interesting, although I do not think that Red Skull will appear in Avengers, the merchandise for the movie includes him... hmmm... I don't know what that is supposed to mean...

Some reshoots mean good news, some reshoots mean bad news. It's all conditional. *If* they plan to re-shoot after a test screening (absolutely no indication of that whatsoever), then that's usually a sign of trouble, if test audiences didn't like or "get" the material. But *if* they plan to re-shoot because they want to add material, or have some additional ideas for the story or whatever, then that's a good sign.

And all of that is a very big *if* --- the biggest "if" being whether or not there's even any re-shoot AT ALL. The original article makes very clear that there's no indication of a re-shoot; only that *some* kind of filming related to Avengers is going on at Manhattan Beach. Hell, for all we know, it could be just another Marvel One-Shot or something leading into the film.

Someone else pointed out an interesting thing, too: strange that this would be introduced at the very beginning of January. What if Marvel Studios had some movie rights reverted to them as of 1/1/12, and this new (supposed) reshoot has something to do with new character(s) becoming available for Avengers....?
