no matter what anyone says I'm still sticking to f4 being that 4/4/14 movie. until marvel studios proves otherwise, I'm gonna keep drinking the koolaid.

In regards to a new trailer, I really hope that it has some memorable moments and money shots present within it. Truth be told, even though I thought the previous trailer was great, there really wasn't anything that stood out for me personally that made me go: "OMG, this is going to be BIG!".

From everything that we've heard so far from cast and crew, they're promising that the scale in this film is going to be HUGE, so I hope that the next trailer faithfully shows that.

Quite a few people claimed the french description to be true and so far no one has denied it's truth, and if that's the case it has plenty of BIG moments.

I hope that we do get the trailer described by the French email in all it's eye popping glory.
Hopefully we only have a few more days to wait.

In regards to the new trailer I hope iTunes actually has a link that works to download it this time. I never could download it from iTunes and had to get it elsewhere. Anyone else have this problem?

where did you download it from? I never saw any download links

Yes, there is an awful lot of 4's in that date too. It can't be just mere coincidence.

I have seen conflicting reports that said Marvel gave up the late June or early May release date. No matter which one they gave up, it seems like a waste to give up prime real estate like those two dates, unless there was some meaning behind the 4/4/14 date. I'm going to say the odds are still long that F4 has reverted back but it certainly looks like there is a strategy behind the move.

Neither did I so I just downloaded it from YouTube, I have an app on my iPhone that'll do it but there's a lot of programs that can do it on a laptop or whatever.

let it be true

I was trying to get RIM to debunk the french trailer description but he felt that he legally could not.

I really hope it's true because it's been around so long that many people (including myself) have subconsciously accepted it as the truth. Thus when the next trailer comes out, if it not that and is less epic then people will be very disappointed.

This. iirc Universal had another Hulk film 'in development' right up until the rights reverted.

From what I read, the rights to Hulk didn't revert, Universal had no intention of making a new Hulk movie, and negotiated the rights back to Marvel, they could have held onto them if they wanted to.

Thank God they didn't.

Yeah, it would have been awful not to have had the Hulk in the shared MU, you really need to see him mixing it up with other superheroes, to get those stories where he is treated like a bad guy by the heroes at first, before the heroes come round to the fact that they didn't get what the Hulk was about.
So, aye, even though it was annoying that the first Hulk movie was a bit of a mis-fire, it worked out better in the end.

I agree with this.

has RIM already seen the trailer? if yes, what was his impression

The real question is "Is now the right time for a FANTASTIC FOUR reboot?".

I think the BO success of this years real CBSM's, i.e., THE AVENGERS and TASM, will go a long way to determine this.

Yup, the only property that the MCU is really missing is the F4. Spidey, X-Men , GR, and DD all pretty much live within their own universes and don't really need to interact with the rest of the bunch.

He said it was a good trailer, better than the first, but didn't gush over it. I wasn't sure how to interpret that, because the french description is quite 'gushable' IMO. It could mean that it was a real description but sounds better than it looks, or it was a real description but RIM is just cool and collected, or that it was fake. The only thing that gives me hope is that he refused to debunk it. One would think that logically he should be legally allowed to debunk a fake trailer even if he couldn't describe the real one. thus if he didn't debunk it then that gives credence to it being true.

while that is true, it'd certainly be nice to see those properties done marvel's way.

Spidey sure doesn't need to be reverted back, he's got plenty of rich history to go through and he's Son'y numero uno cash cow. Still, I wish there was way Marvel Studios could "rent" the movie rights just so he could turn up in one Avengers sequel, lol. I mean, surely that would benefit Sony whenever they release another Spidey film.

came across this, and i loved the design.
Also seems in line with what the mo cap men were wearing.
Probably nothing but abandoned concept art tho. who knows?

This is what I think would work out best with a lot of the properties at other studios. A partnering agreement, whereby Sony/Fox get to keep the rights to some of these properties but Marvel gets greater input on their use. Tying them into the MCU, even if it is just via dialogue would be beneficial, but more overt cross-pollinations would realize benefits for both sides.
