There's no weirder villain than the Penny Plunderer.

The Porcupine was pretty weird.

I hope that within either the upcoming Superbowl Spot, or even within a new trailer, that we get to see more glimpses of this scene from "The Avengers"

I think that will most likely be happening, and I am looking forward to seeing it with some effects/aliens in there, but tbh, I feel like that's the only scene we've gotten substantial glimpses of already, so I'd rather get some good looks at...well, pretty much any other scenes, lol.

Has it been said when during the superbowl the Spot is being shown? Game finished 4am GMT & I've gotta be up in London at 10AM monday. Hoping it airs before 2am GMT as i'll be able to be about till then.....

Sadly, not yet. However, Disney's John Carter trailer is showing during the 1st quarter, so I'm guessing Avengers won't be 'til the 2nd or 3rd quarter.

im pretty sure that we are going to get that one minute thing before super bowl starts.
like last year with pirates 4.

Well that would be just great!

Hey guys! First post here.

Okay, so since they said the enemies are not going to be Skrulls, but they are a Marvel alien race, who do you think they are going to be?

Kree: That's the obvious one, but there doesn't seem to be any reason in particular to have them be the villains. Typically, the Kree are only interesting in comparison to the Skrulls, or because of various characters connected with them, EG, The Supreme Intelligence, Ronan the Accuser, Captain Mar-Vel, Etc. The trouble is, those characters are so personally dynamic and we already have a really dynamic villain in Loki.

One of the "Tree of Life" Planets: Since Loki and Thor are aliens anyway, it makes sense for Loki to use aliens from one of the planets he's familiar with. Thing is, I don't know any planets in Norse mythology that use anything like skycycles...

...

Valkrye?

That would be interesting. Maybe Loki is bringing heralds of Hela to bring total death to the planet.

That would be intense.

Titan Moon Gods: We could have Thanos at work here. But you'd think that would've been leaked by now, and again, that's so major a villain it would distract from Loki.

...So, anyone else have any other ideas?

Didn't the Avengers have his costume on display in Avengers Mansion? I seem to remember something like that. Displayed in their hallway or something.

Not necessarily. Since the aliens have not been leaked here, there is no reason to think that Thanos should have been by now.

But I may be leading towards the Kree, or the Deviants.

And Welcome to the forum my friend! I am going to be sure to welcome ya here, since when I joined a few weeks ago, I got no welcome response from anyone to my whole "Im new here post". SO welcome :)

Thank you. Sniff. I feel so loved. :yay:

Anyway, you may be right about Thanos, but studios aren't usually that cagey about something that major. Besides, I still don't think they'll want anyone to overshadow Loki.

The Deviants are a good idea, but doesn't that bring in the whole "Eternals" mythology they might not want to delve into for this movie?

don't worry, that's probably only because no one likes you or values your opinion.

Welcome to you both!
I'm usually good about my salutations to newbies, but I may have not seen your posts.
And I'm leaning towards Badoon, or Breakworlders (if not a part of the X franchise)
But I'm more than likely WAYyyy off.
This whole Knights of Wundagore theory seemed like it had some steam behind it.

The identity of LOKI's allies is one of the great mysteries of this movie. Based upon widespread internet and fanboy speculation the possibilities now include:

1: Skrulls
2: Chitauri
3: Kree
4: Atlanteans
5: Knights of Wundagore
6: Deviants
7: Badoon
8: Nebula & her space pirates
9: various mythological creatures and races from the 9 realms of Asgardian cosmology
10: Shiar
11: others I cannot remember

I'm betting it won't be what we expect it t be. Lol

im thinking number 5, with some number 9 mixed in

The Deviants seem like a good option, imo. For some reason, when Tom said "gangsters of the Nine Realms," a group called "The Deviants" just sounds like something he would refer to in that way.

Yes, Captain America put The Porcupine's costume on display at the mansion because the villain died trying to help Cap take down his former allies. As he lay dying, the hapless Porcupine said he was just a loser and a nobody, which made Cap vow to honor his sacrifice forever.

(Porcupine was a loser and a nobody, though. :waa:)

Welcome! Just one correction: Valkyries are not heralds of Hela, and their role is not to bring death at all.

I think it will be the Badoon. They would tie in with the cosmic side of Marvel very well.

But we already knew about that. :/

Yes we know. But it will apparently be released online and be 60 seconds long. So the teaser released a few days ago was:

A teaser for a teaser for a trailer of a movie. That's where advertising is in the year 2012, lol. :ikyn

I only mention it because the Spanish page said it was 60 seconds.
