Yes, Captain America put The Porcupine's costume on display at the mansion because the villain died trying to help Cap take down his former allies. As he lay dying, the hapless Porcupine said he was just a loser and a nobody, which made Cap vow to honor his sacrifice forever.

(Porcupine was a loser and a nobody, though. :waa:)

Wow. That's really kinda sad.

However, I love when older, campy 2-dimensional villains are given depth in newer comics. It always makes their existence and prior appearances feel more valid somehow.

Am I the only one who want's to see a scene of Thor and Hulk fighting alongside each other and bulldozing their way through a portion of Loki's army?

I've always thought those two should work together alot more directly and spend less time fighting each other.

Joss once did a scene where Spike and Angel were fighting a mob of goons, but by the end of it they were slugging each other instead. At least initially I hope he does the same with the Avengers.

Haha, I remember Buffy and Spike fighting eachother, and then next second, they were having sex!

But really, when it comes to handling emotional fighting scenes, Joss is very good. A personal favorite was when Faith was fighting Angel and begging him to kill her, and wouldn't go through with it, knowing she was just a damaged slayer who lost her way!

I get that the Avengers will be fighting each other..but if it happens more than 2 times in the film it will start to get corny & boring. Probably needs to happen early on but not what I'm here to see.

That worked for Buffy, but in Avengers, it'd be out of place unless something like Loki manipulating Hulk happened.

What I'm saying is I'm looking forward to seeing the Avengers work together than watching them fight each other.

Maybe we'll have a duel between some of them that started a good rapport, like we got between Legolas and Gimli with their kill counts!

I want to see the Hulk in more super-hero situations and less friendly fire situations.

Exactly , I'm tired of Hulk always being shown as a raging monster it's about he's shown in a more heroic light.

Actually, who can fly faster - Thor or Iron Man?

Thor, it's not even close....he can fly faster than the speed of light.

im thinking number 5, with some number 9 mixed in

The reasons that I cannot see it as the Knights of Wundagore are as follows:

1: They are NOT villainous! There is no reason for them to ally themselves with LOKI to take over the Earth.
2: Too much back story required for this movie to explain the origins of a group of various half-human half animal creatures.
3: Not enough to form a huge army for world domination.
4: Too corny. Basically they are talking humanoids with animal heads. That's too risky a concept for this event movie.
5: The vehicles seen in the Superbowl teaser do not actually resemble the KoW atomic steeds. Those are single seaters; these are multiple seaters.

I think it will be the Badoon. They would tie in with the cosmic side of Marvel very well.

That's my feeling as well.

If they are really serious about doing a Guardians of the Galaxy (original future time team) movie then this will play in very nicely.

The Badoon tried to take over Earth with LOKI in the present and failed thanx to THE AVENGERS. Then at some time in the future, when for whatever reasons Earth heroes were inadequate, they came in larger numbers and took over the Earth (and indeed the entire galaxy).

i c wat u mean, i want them to tag team and chain some combos while fighting through loki's army, not just one shot of thor fighting and another of hulk fighting.

I think it's the Chitauri and that they've been redesigned (as no one really cares about the Chitauri). And I think people are making too much of their identity, I think it's the design Marvel is trying to keep secret

What's your reason for saying the Chitauri?

Yes!! Hope the one minute preview is online right after the game!

Hulk is not a complete imbecile. I would rather it be shown that although he is causing destruction everywhere he goes, seems to be an uncontrollable animal & may be engaged by other Avengers as a result, it becomes evident that he was doing everything for some noble heroic reason all the while. And that any fight is due to an understandable misunderstanding (lol) on the part of the other Avengers. In fact if there is any unjustified destruction at all I will be kind of pissed.

As far as any non-Hulk heroes involved in fighting each other I want this kept to a minimum. Thor has intelligence aplenty and his arrogance must have cooled after events in his own film. I want to see the other guys who are no longer new to being heroes act at least a little responsibly (with their very dangerous powers) and use their brains. Hotheads some of them may have been in the past but all this better be dealt with in the 1st 20 mins or so. :cmad:

Rant over :yay:

I definitely wouldn't mind seeing them develop a friendly competition with each other in the manner that Legolas and Gimli had with each other in the LOTR series.

Heck, I think that was somewhat shown in EMH's, where Thor told Iron Man on how the Hulk had boasted to him that he'd be able to take down more enemies than he (Thor) could.

Yeah, we've been told their identity is not 'impactful' so I expect just basic galactic minions whose identity makes no difference to the plot. Doesn't mean they can't look amazing though! :word:

Thor and Hulk are the muscle of the team, and I think when they start fighting side by side they will be the ones doing most of the damage.

So apparently, after having checked it closely, someone has apparently noted that the person, that some of us thought to be a alien, that Fury is attacking is actually a SHIELD guard agent. The same kind that escorts Loki to his prison cell in the film.

Yeah I'd also love it if the film had a moment where Thor and Hulk ackowledge each other's abilites showing that they actually have respect each for other.
