So apparently, after having checked it closely, someone has apparently noted that the person, that some of us thought to be a alien, that Fury is attacking is actually a SHIELD guard agent. The same kind that escorts Loki to his prison cell in the film.

I always thought that was a SHIELD agent in body armor, honestly. What people thought were dreadlocks were just part of his clothes. It isn't even clear that Fury was hitting the person, just that he had his arm raised.

wait? when was this? I don't remember a scene in any of the trailers with Fury "attacking" anyone.

I'm still hoping that the trailer shows up online tonight. That would kick so much ass.

i'm pretty sure i said that **** on here day of....

I just saw a slightly shortened version of the full trailer on NBC just a few minutes ago. Anyone else see it? Nothing new at all though. It was the full trailer just a little shorter.

I saw it, too. I thought it was the full trailer. What was missing?

The very beginning where you hear Loki say "You were made to be ruled", but that's it. At least I'm pretty sure that's all that was missing.

Did they talk about the film before showing the trailer?

Chris Evans was a presenter for 'Coach Of The Year'. He was introduced "From The Avengers...Captain America, Chris Evans, and from 'Entourage'...." I forget her name.

Why would Fury be attacking a SHIELD agent? Unless you're assuming that Loki mind-controls his own captors.

This question may be off base, but are you saying that they showed the trailer that's going to debut tomorrow on NBC and it was exactly the same as the full one we say a few months ago? Or are you saying they just randomly showed the old trailer we've already seen?

I hope they don't use much of the mind control thing in the movie. It's a cheap plot device, always has been.

It's not the SB spot. I also wouldn't say it was randomly shown, but yes it was the exact trailer from a few months ago.

Mind control is one of Loki's powers, so it makes sense for him to use it. Plus, the Loki/Hulk mind control plot is a classic Avengers story.

Basically, Chris Evans presented at the ceremony, and then they plugged the Avengers during the commercial break that immediately followed using the regular ol' theatrical trailer. No big news here, though it was a little cool to see the full-theatrical trailer randomly show up during the commercials.

its ones of lokis powers, why wouldnt he use it...

Actually, it's a very common tool we use everyday, just look at the mind control the networks got on people, making them think that reality TV like the Kardashians and the Real World is good tv.

I never anticipated a sunday like today :P

remember how it went up to 200 people in the forum when the twitter event happened....imagine just when the superbowl spot hits...
btw still no word on the schedule for the tv spot?
guess i have to c the whole thing..

There is a difference between manipulation and mind control. Thing is though Loki is the master of both. :)

You won't have to watch the whole game, odds are it'll air in the first half.

Good point. As I recall in Avengers #1 Loki never mind controlled Hulk. He just tricked him by altering his perceptions in order to get him to do what he wanted. A subtle but significant difference.
