There's way more to that scene than the clip showed, but no problem! :cwink:

I've always thought the way Superman flew during the airplane rescue scene was great, I would love for to have a similar scene in The Avengers.

Oh I know, the whole scene is probably on YouTube. If the whole would have been like that it would've been, I don't know, good?

I agree, and yeah it is lol. The scene where he rescued Metropolis was pretty awesome too. Supes needed a villain to challenge him physically, which is exactly what we'll get with Man of Steel in 2013... I hope.

Hah, I've been picturing Thor every time I watch that scene for the past few months. I need The Avengers to provide a scene like that so I can stop using my imagination. :wow:

Totally, I also like how Superman used his powers for things other than combat like directly saving civilians from disasters.

Oh man, remember when he used his heat vision to destroy the falling glass before it hit the pedestrians? Or when he raced past those flames and blew them away with his super breath? EPIC.

I haven't seen SR in awhile so I don't really remember that scene, but I would love for Marvel Studios films to have more of those types of moments.

I like that they're not showing any more clips in the ads. Save it for the real movie!

Wouldn't it be cool if during the opening logo when Tinkerbell is flying over the Disney castle logo she is dressed like Wasp???

I don't think the current Disney Logo has Tinkerbell. Speaking of which, will The Avengers have the Disney logo playing in front of it? I thought not but then again there's been no word on it.

unless its changed since John Carter it still has her
Disney is distributing so their logo will be on it

Yep. Especially if Thor squishes Tinkerbell with Mjolnir as she flutters past. :word:

If it doesn't happen when in the context of a comprehensiveness action sequence it ends up being boring as Hell. The Spider-man Train scene is a good example of a superhero using his powers to help save civilians yet it is still action packed and epic. The SR scene was just dull and boring. It was like they just wrote those scenes just to display is powers. It was almost like they had a check list and were like lets make a scene for his heat vision, super breath, and Hold heavy object ect.... Every thing in that move was boring and predicable. (with the exception of the Plane scene)

I love Spider-Man's train scene as well and I didn't get a "just for the sake of being cool" feeling from SR's plane scene at all.

I hope they're watching and listening.

Superman Returns had the least action of any superhero movie in the last decade. Not one punch thrown by the hero, a so-called villain who couldn't go toe-to-toe with the lead, and the main "action" sequences involved very minor use of power. The latest trailer for The Avengers had more action in it than the entirety of SR. I would far prefer that Marvel maintain the level of action in its own films than mimic anything in the Superman franchise thus far. I can't imagine Thor or Iron Man getting the **** beat of of them by a wimp with no powers, like Superman did (thank goodness).

only the deal with paramount might mean it's still a paramount logo.

We were just speaking of wanting to see heroes using their powers to directly save civilians in non combat situations, we weren't talking about the film as a whole.
