Also, it's likely that the threat in the solo movies will be personal to the hero. They're not going to whip out the cell phone to take care of things like that. It's their problem and they'll deal with it.

The issue with that is SHIELD. They pretty much know about everything going on. If some baddy in a solo movie is makin' a stink, they're bound to know about it ....... but this is where the "time" issue comes into play. How long would it logically take for them to respond to it before the solo heroes have already taken care of it?

Yeah, but if they don't know about the threat in time, and [insert hero here] deals with it before any larger response could be assembled. . .

"Everyone else is always busy" is a cliche, yes, but I'd wait to see actual post-Avengers movies before saying that it will prove unworkable.

I would assume any Cap sequel would involve SHIELD in a major role. I would assume IM3 and Thor 2 will not.

You're assuming they're on good terms after Avengers.

So because SHIELD might be giving Cap the silent treatment they shouldn't aid him in his battle against an organization that will most definitely seek world domination?

Common, man.

It just doesn't make any sense.

Fury: "Steve doesn't need our help. This is personal for him. The fate of the world may rest in his hands & we could probably help, but we won't. That's The Avengers Code. No helping individual heroes with personal enemies."

Cap's modern supporting cast is composed almost entirely of SHIELD agents. I don't know why someone would assume he won't be remaining heavily involved with SHIELD

Cap might not want their help. Maybe he doesn't like their methods. There are a hundred different ways you could explain it away logically.

Why is it assumed that Marvel won't address this issue in subsequent movies? They're too smart not to. Hell, Shane Black already talked about it being explained in IM3.

I know I'm not saying they won't attempt it. I'm curious as to how they go about it.

Or even iron man. SHIELD was fairly important in iron man 2

Do people think really think that the GA is gonna go:

"You know the absence of CAP and HAWKEYE in this IRON MAN movie is really disturbing me and disrupting my suspension of disbeleief. I'm going to walk out now and not see any more of these movies."

Probably not. Reviewers may have a problem with it if its left unexplained though. Not that I care.

It's hard enough seeing two completely CG characters go to town on each other (and I, personally, perfer linebacker Hulk over le puffy Hulk).

Same here, too bad we're in the minority on the matter oh well I'm getting used to it. :word:

That's not what I'm really talking about. I mean pushing the envelope on even more unsung heroes.

I'm not sure it gets more unsung than Guardians of the Galaxy. That's a huge risk for them.

Did anyone mention walking out over it or getting disturbed?

We're just talking about simple logical questions that will be asked ..... just like when the whole issue raised by many on here about no Jane.

lol..exactly..only fans like us worry about these things..and we will go see the movie anyway, so i doubt the Marvel brass is going to be worried as to how they explain where the hell Nick Fury is in Thor 2

I don't know about you guys, but I think the best way for them to branch off the already established heroes back into their solo properties is for The Avengers team to disassemble at the end of the movie. That would alleviate any shadow of a doubt why the team isn't hanging out together all the time. Maybe they have a hard time being a government sanctioned operation.

Agreed

Yeah, I don't see that movie happening any time soon. Maybe it's just me.

I mean the likes of Excalibur or the Defenders. Other movies that have a "team" motif. Hell, I'll even take a West Coast Avengers movie with War Machine and Hawkeye as the two familiar faces.

Red Baron launched an Instant-win game like Hersey's. If you don't have one of their pizzas in your fridge with the Avengers on it, the game is pretty pointless right now. But there's a cool loading screen with this:

^ That's the best Thor pose from this film YET!!! :thor:

Well, we know that Feige is intent on introducing the cosmic aspect of the MCU, and he's already brought up the possibility of a GotG movie, so I don't think it's a stretch. Plus, if Avengers makes as much money as it's expected to there's a good chance they'll have the cash to make a movie like that.
