lol..exactly..only fans like us worry about these things..and we will go see the movie anyway, so i doubt the Marvel brass is going to be worried as to how they explain where the hell Nick Fury is in Thor 2

Right. Because the audience is mindless and doesn't pay any attention to plot points like SHIELD recruiting superheros or the fact that most of the team lives in the same country.

Fail.

Well, we know that Feige is intent on introducing the cosmic aspect of the MCU, and he's already brought up the possibility of a GotG movie, so I don't think it's a stretch. Plus, if Avengers makes as much money as it's expected to there's a good chance they'll have the cash to make a movie like that.

Very true, though MS' version of Guardians of the Galaxy isn't really the same as the comics' version. If you get my drift

I'd be interested to see their cinematic take on it. I haven't read any comics with them in it, so it's all new to me. I'm mostly just ready to see more cosmic stuff introduced in the MCU.

I'm still curious about that scene with Ruffalo in the warehouse.

Finally found a super high-res (2048x1365) version of that Maria Hill pic with her behind the monitor. I've stared at Cobie long enough, so I reversed it to see what was on the monitor.;)

Fury: "Sorry, broski. Cap's fighting Zola & his peeps in Antarctica, Thor's on a campaign against the Dark Elves of outer space planet 3489 & Hulk's been on a 3-day fight (and counting) with The Juggernaut. I'd give you a hand myself but us SHIELD guys are serving as mediators for Israel & Iran at the time."

...If only. :csad:

Exactly.

Why would SHIELD & Stark allow Cap to fight the re-emerged HYDRA by himself?

No, just no.

I'm pretty sure Cap WILL be accompanied by some SHIELD agents in his sequel, particularly Falcon & Sharon.

That's not what I'm really talking about. I mean pushing the envelope on even more unsung heroes.

Which ones? When you get down to the GOTG, you've gone into characters the general public and even most comic book fans have never heard of. Can't get much more unsung than that. Marvel is also looking to explore more of its cosmic heroes, like Captain Marvel and Adam Warlock. What others are you referring to? Squirrel Girl? Dethlok? Brother Voodoo?

I'd like to see Monica Rambeau/Photon myself, as she has a unique set of powers and would be visually interesting. The team needs more than just brawlers.

Already answered this in the last page

That "Target C" looks to be aimed outside of Earth... Wonder what it is.

I really get the feeling most people are going to go into the movie thinking Stark is the leader. Hopefully the script proves otherwise.

Sigh, I love that woman. :woot:

I don't know about you guys, but I think the best way for them to branch off the already established heroes back into their solo properties is for The Avengers team to disassemble at the end of the movie. That would alleviate any shadow of a doubt why the team isn't hanging out together all the time. Maybe they have a hard time being a government sanctioned operation.
I that works fine for The first film .
But, what about sequels?
Are they ALWAYS going to disband at the end?

I would assume any Cap sequel would involve SHIELD in a major role. I would assume IM3 and Thor 2 will not.

I think IM3 will involve more of SHIELD, since [BLACKOUT]Black Widow[/BLACKOUT] seems to be returning.
