Protect those well toned arms from onlookers.
I don't see why you guys can't think out of the box, with effort MODOK could EASILY be a great on screen villain. Do you have no imagination or vision?
If Thor's armor were six sizes too small for him and extended from his waist, I could see your point.
I hope Marvel Studios doesn't think the same way these guys do. I wouldn't think so since Kevin has mentioned Rocky twice when talking about the GotG movieEh, it's the same old 'can't be done' arguments you once heard about Captain America's suit, or Asgard being a giant rock floating in space, or a bunch of other things the audience supposedly wouldn't buy because it's too comic booky.
Until such time as MS pulls it off, and then it'll be 'Wow Modok was creepy and awesome, I always knew it'd work!'

For the record, I'm not saying he can't be adapted. I'm simply saying that he needs a major overhaul.
Serious question: what is the purpose of his feet?

It's not that difficult. If I had any kind of drawing skills I could come up with a concept in a couple hours. It's all about willingness. If Marvel Studios is too lazy to shrug off the idea that a character like MODOK could be brought to the screen then why call yourself the house of ideas?I don't think anybody's said it's impossible, just that it's difficult to translate in a way that will appeal to most people.
As I said before I completely disagree. major overhaul = why bother?
Do you guys also think that Arnim Zola couldn't be translated to the big screen as is?\

I never said he couldn't use an update, but a complete overhaul is unnecessary. Change a couple things here and there and fine tune the rest and there you go. It's the same approach with every comic book character, which is why I find it so puzzling that people think MODOK is any different.I suppose it depends on how much you value the look of the character over the character themselves. With someone like MODOK, you'd have a huge mountain to climb just to get the audience to take him seriously if you keep him the way he is, I don't care how scary you make his face look. He's still got midget arms and legs sticking out of his head.
Protection from people seeing his "hammer?"
He sure as hell doesn't need protection from being hurt
.like he should be around 20ft and hooked up to alot of machinery and just when you think he is just hardwired...boom he disconnects and comes after you
