I know it's not hate per se, which is why I corrected myself.
But a lot of people have said, in this thread and others, that they can't be done because their powers would look stupid or cheesy.

That's what i don't agree with.

I'm not saying we have to adhere strictly to the comics. I don't care that they weren't part of the first team. I can accept deviations and I can accept them not being included for a valid reason. But automatically discounting them because you personally can't imagine how they can be done well? That's not a valid reason.

I just think it's wasted resources.

I never realized how feverish the Ant-Man cult was, but on SHH and other outlets people are incensed about these two. I think they are okay characters who have dorky names and look even dorkier....I really have a hard time believing that they would be taken serious in a real movie.

But even if it is possible you are taking screen time and money away from the other heroes that we have spent movies developing by now.

I think you keep this team largely in tact for a trilogy and then if Ruffalo and Downey are done after 6 movies a piece maybe you move Antman into the fold along with some others and do a little smaller marvel movie....more X-Men like where the stakes (resources) aren't as big

If they can do an awesome Ant-man and have it not take away from the four big guys that is fine with me.....I just fear over-saturation too quickly.

Move the kids when you're drunk and tossing lethal weapons around.
