I want to see the Pyms too. Not just because they are awesome but because... ULTRON!

But seeing as the Avengers already has two super scientists in Stark and Banner, it might be difficult to find a way to work Hank in there and not make him seem redundant.

I think the scientist angle wouldn't work against him. He would just have to have a unique personality. Banner and Tony are nothing like each other. Tony is a self centered heathenist with a flare for excess. Banner is a caring selfless individual with anger management issues. The question is what makes Pym special and unique as an individual. What would make his character interesting to follow out side of his superpowers.

The general consensus is that the MCU would be fine without the Pyms, but I just can't fathom an Avengers franchise with them or Ultron.

There not really hating Giant Man and Wasp, they're just saying that they aren't important to THIS version of the Avengers because it isn't the comics.

Personally I still wanna see Giant Man and Wasp I don't care how different the MCU is from the comics.
I know it's not hate per se, which is why I corrected myself.
But a lot of people have said, in this thread and others, that they can't be done because their powers would look stupid or cheesy.

That's what i don't agree with.

I'm not saying we have to adhere strictly to the comics. I don't care that they weren't part of the first team. I can accept deviations and I can accept them not being included for a valid reason. But automatically discounting them because you personally can't imagine how they can be done well? That's not a valid reason.

Ralphie from Christmas Story is a producer on Iron Man and is a producer on most of Jon Favreau's movies

He was also the recipient of Stane's "IN A CAVE! WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS!" meltdown. :D Poor Ralphie. :(

Self consuming brilliance, similar to Reed Richards, but different than Richards in that Pym has so much self doubt and that makes him a little unhinged which leads to a huge mistake: Ultron.

I think that's very different from Tony or Bruce.

Oh ok, well that's not the reason anyone in here doesn't care about seeing them.

They just don't want to change up the team dynamic and don't seem to be big fans of them anyway.

and those people's arguments don't make any since because at some point that was said about every last superhero movie that was ever made.

Superman: Guy with his underwear on the outside flying around a city.
Batman: Guy dress up in a batsuit to fight crime and his main enemy is a clown.
The list goes on!

Yeah that's how that whole little conversation got started, someone pointed that out while we were talking about that scene.

Exactly

Bridges Stane was such a cool character. I loved his "Very clever Tony" on the roof.

If anyone was having issues with that french website that kingdork posted for those 2 tv spots (like I was) I managed to get the two of them uploaded to youtube.

Iron Man's (french subtitled):

Thor's (french subtitled):

Awesome, thank you.

Oh WOW that Thor spot shows his armor being "applied" to him by the Lightning!

Didn't notice until now but I called it many eons ago!

general consensus is wrong and must be punished.

Ah, should have went back another page or two. :(

Nah it's cool, they made some pretty good points but I still wanna see those Pyms and Ultron dammit! :argh:

Ah, should have went back another page or two. :(

Yeah this thread really picked up the pace in the last hour.

*Stane storms away*

Ralphie, under his breath - "yell at me again and I'll shoot your ****ing eye out"
hahaha

hehe Daisey BB guns is here in town too not just Walmart. :D Daisey was based here for along time

Pretty good set of interviews with the cast. Topics include: "What classic film would you put the cast of Avengers in?" (everyone answers this & Hiddleston - ever Hiddleston - gives a well thought out and detailed answer), Ruffalo on doing mocap & Johanssen commenting on flying/wire stunts. Joss & Hiddleston on being at the mercy of the industry and/or being able to stand up for yourself. Jackson on some past characters - who he would be for a day, Evans & Hemsworth on what they consider *the* eyeopening moment for them when they first got into the business.

#SMASH! Marvel's Avengers Assemble UK premiere pre-buzz doubles Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II inreeltime.tumblr.com/... #avengers

Marvel’s Avengers Assemble UK premiere pre-buzz (over 48 hours) is off the Twichter scale! It doubles that of even Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, which previously showed the highest level of conversation around a UK Premiere that we have ever seen.

...why did RT post that review as a greengreen splat?

Edit: just that way on mobile page

Avengers premiere is more talked about in the UK than the Potter finale?

How is that possible?!
