Which Crossover flick did you like more?

Avengers up down and around the block a few times. How is X-Men: DoFP even a crossover? It isn't bringing separate franchises together. It's all still just the X-Men. Now if X-Men and the FF are in a movie then I'd call that a cross-over or X-Men and X-Calibur, or any of the other X-teams. But this is just X-Men 7 basically.

I enjoyed the Avengers but was blown away by Days of Future Past, I feel it was better than TA on almost every level.

Crossover between X-Men from the past and X-Men from the future.

Avengers by a lot. DOFP was a great film and I enjoyed it very much. But Avengers was more fun and really was a big spectacle. The buildup to Avengers was unheard of at the time. I mean it had 5 films building to that one moment when they all came together. Again DOFP was good but it wasn't Avenger level at all.

I loved DoFP, but Avengers was a true event film, and one of the few that didn't remotely disappoint, imo.

I think they're both great on many levels. Avengers was the first of it's kind and a perfect film. X-men: DOFP is a perfect film as well, and unique in many ways as well. As a die-hard X-fan, I must give my vote to the latter, even though The Avengers is as good.

DOFP even though I don't like the sort of erasing the non-FC films from contunity primarly X-Men and X2.

Although I have a few problems with it, Days of Future Past is the better film by a mile.

Avengers.

DOFP is a good film but it doesn't hold a candle to the Avengers.

Box Office-wise, Cinematic-wise, Brand-wise, Etc.

I appreciate the film but Avengers is Avengers.

No question about it. Days of Future Past.

Avengers had action and humour. DOFP had action, humour, drama, theme, emotion, storytelling and character development.

The former was a fun but hollow bit of popcorn entertainment beloved for hype and novelty, the latter is simply more than that.

Not even a contest really.

X-Men: Days of Future Past

The Avengers is fun to watch, but DOFP is that and so much more.

There is no way X-men wins this poll. But if we're looking at which film is greater, on a cinematic standpoint, and as a compelling story. X-men is the winner in my eyes.

Days of Future passed is the culmination of over 10 years of the X-Men on the silver screen.

The Avengers is the culmination of team with unprecedented ambition and with a clear vision and goals planned out from the get-go.

Really is a toss up, but if anything I have to give it to X-Men because we've been watching those movies longer.

I wondered how long it would be before we got this thread.

DOFP wins for me as overall its better in every department, better drama, better humor, better acting, better directing, better story, better writing, better finale, better villains, better ambition, more comic book references, better emotion, better post credit scene.

Avengers was great fun and worked well and will of course be held in high regard but its already been surpassed by Cap2 in a lot of ways.

I give both Avengers and DOfP the score of 9/10.

DOFP has better drama, Avengers has better spectacle. I prefer DOFP just a bit, so I voted DOFP.

I'm sorry, I loved the avengers and I thought it was a stupendous feat.

But in my heart, I'm always an xfan. Xmen days of future past for me!

I vote X-Men: Days of Future Past but i'm sure Avengers will win.

Either way, i was very disapointed with Avengers, instead of getting an amazing film i got a run of the mill superhero flick, with the only difference being that it starred these heroes, with X-Men i was simply blown away, not only were they able to make this complex story work in a single go, but they were also able to make the pace perfect.

I don't even agree with the spectacle, Avengers didn't offer anything new to me, with a bland cinematography, and a city battle that was no more impressive than the ones we've seen before, hell, i got more of a sence of high stakes in the previous year's Transformers 3 city climax.

I mostly agree with BlackFox, X-Men: Days of Future Past had better drama, Directing, story, stakes, writing, finale, emotions and ambitions. Post-Credits scenes are debatable, though i prefered X-Men's, while with villains, Loki was too small to hold the entire team, however, Bolivar Trask wasn't all that exceptional either, but Magneto was by far more interesting than those 2, and you could say that he worked as a villain in Days of Future Past.
