I like that Tom F Wilson looks a lot like 1985 Biff, that was one of the makeup predictions that came true lol.

Thanks for the link! Very interesting. Fox is so perfect as Marty that it's hard to imagine anybody else in the part, or what would have happened if they'd kept a lead who made it more of a drama than a comedy.

So I guess there are no plans for any sort of re-release for the 30th anniversary? That's a shame...

Even then, it's one of those things where I wish there was actual footage of him as Marty so we can judge for ourselves.

They've mentioned that he wasn't right for the role, but I can't still visualize what really went wrong. Be it chemistry, intensity, etc.

Basically from what I inferred is that he did with the role what an actor like Christian Bale would've done with the role.

Just a little too intense for something that's supposed to be you know....not.

I can kind of see it in these quick shots of footage.

I was flipping through an old scrapbook over the weekend and came across a 1985 newspaper ad for BTTF and a note that my sister and I saw it at the 7:25 PM showing on July 6, 1985. No word on what we paid to see it, probably about $5.50...

me too I had it on cassette tho but when Part III came out I got I, II, and III, on CD back when they still came in the long flat packaging instead of just a standard jewel case like they do now. I also have the lala records complete score of part I as well (2 disc set).

I know I have seen these films more times than I can count and I LOVE em all but one thing that always made no sense. what was the point of Doc taking Marty to 2015 to change something that hasn't happened yet? I mean once they get back to 85, that even can still happen again unless they go back to 2015?

Better yet, he could have just warned Marty about how poorly he ends up raising his kids, so that Marty naturally prepares to do a better job, to avoid the incident involing Griff and Marty Jr.

There really was no point. LOL. It mostly had to do with meeting audience expectations.

Gale and Zemeckis said that the ending of the first film was never intended to set up a sequel. It was just a gag. They said that if they knew there would have been a sequel, they would have never sent Marty and Doc into the future but they didn't want to let the audience down and not follow up on the first film's ending.

I can tell you, when the sequel was coming out, one of the most hyped aspects was, this was the one where Marty was going into the future.

Well Doc said it himself at the end of Part I that he was going about 30 years. Presumably, one could argue that he coincidently just happened to be around during that period of time when **** hit the fan with Marty Jr. Then after a brief trip further down to see what happens (Marty's daughter getting arrested) he simply had a knee-jerk reaction to fixing it ASAP.

Time Splitters entrance from Wrestle Kingdom 8.

My girlfriend had never seen any of the BTTF films so I sat her down and we did a marathon. She was an instant fan and really loved Marty's character arc.

That's all I could think about when I watched Health Inspector. :woot:
