I just got a email from www.bttf.com that Back to the Future is gonna be on the big screen for 2 days this month, Sunday the 14, and Wednesday the 17th at select Cinemark theaters.

I have one of these theaters within an hour drive of me I am gonna go to the one on the 17th. for those of you who missed out on the 25th anniversary release back in 2010 at AMC this is a 2nd chance to see Future on the big screen ;).

Would've been cool if they had planned a Part IV for a 2015 release.

Have it set in 2015 and they go back 30 years to 1985, like in the first film where they went back 30 years to 1955.

And they can explain why real world 2015 is not as advanced as the one they went to in Part II
xD

I think the problem with that is, the whole dynamic about the each movie is how different each era is. While 2015 is in many ways different from 1985, it many ways culturally it's not.

Like if i was to get teleported back to 1985, I think I can manage just fine. I can still go to parties, go to the movies, and still have a blast. This vs going back to 1955, during an era of conformity.

I saw it in theaters for the 25th anniversary it was so fun watching it in a sold out theater full of fans.

I travelled to Belfast last month to check out the replica car from BTTF2...the managers decided to remove it for good, just a week before, *******s.

I had this idea for a poster, so I did it.

I hope you guys like it! :)

That my friend is amazing BTTF has some of the best fan posters of any classic film.

It's funny I've heard of certain fan groups saying that they'd actually have preffered if Eric did the Marty McFly role, some people have a strange idea of entertainment.

To be fair, you can't gauge if Eric Stoltz was horrible or not from the brief footage on the DVD. There's no dialogue sequences, just a few seconds from a shot here and there.

With that said, Michael J. Fox is perfect in the role. He is Marty McFly.

Like Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones. Tom Selleck might have been good but just wouldn't have been iconic like Ford.

We simply can't know, maybe he would have been an icon too, or maybe he would have been terrible. Who knows

True, he could have bombed or been great in the role.

I'm glad Fox took over the role. Stoltz is a fantastic dramatic actor but I don't know if he could have pulled off the comedy with as deft a touch as Fox. Fox had the perfect ability to pull off both the funny stuff and the more dramatic moments. He had the audience pulling for him all the way. As talented as Stoltz is, I don't see how he could have possibly improved on Michael's performance. There was nothing in there I could see that needed improving.

That's basically what they said on the extras, in that his performance was "much darker" than MJF.

Which is why Stoltz wasn't meant to be. Great actor but not right for the part. I think they mentioned the whole "incest" thing got frightening with Stoltz cause he played those scenes dramatic which came off as creepy while Fox had that comedic timing which made it funny.

You don't replace your actor halfway through the film if it isn't working. It never happens (unless you're in a Woody Allen movie who's notorious for replacing actors while shooting).

also, Stolz was about the same height as Lloyd. Because Fox is a shorter dude, it worked better on a visual level for both Doc and Marty, especially when they're standing next to each other.

I just finished the first part of the BTTF game on my iPad. I am really loving this so far, especially the direction they went with the storyline.

I still haven't played the video game. I think I can probably find it cheap, now. Hmmmm..

I remember playing the NES version. It was fun but there was one part I can't remember ever passing which is where you had to avoid the flying kisses of his mother.
