The NES games were pretty bad. Especially the combo of Part II&III.

I still haven't played the video game. I think I can probably find it cheap, now. Hmmmm..

If you have an iPad you can get the first episode for free and the other 5 for $10. Wish they had released this for the XBOX though. It's a little awkward playing on a tablet but still fun. And yeah, the NES game was dreadful. I played that thing forever and still never managed to get close to beating it.

I think they released it on both PS3 and 360. I've been meaning to play it since the same company made the excellent Walking Dead game.

No, they only released it on PC/Mac, Ipad, PS3 and Wii. I'm gonna look for a Wii copy, cause I'm sure it's the cheapest.

I just looked it up. To DL from the PSN, it cost $20, but I can't find a cheap price for the Wii. I may just pick it up for my PS3, then.

I got the PS3 one for like 16 new on disc at game stop, tis a fun game, a truly fun game and a great addition to any BTTF fan. I remember when playing the first chapter and got to the part where Marty goes back in time to save Doc, hearing that wicked cool Alan Silvestri theme kick in as he was getting the Delorean up to 88.

What doesn't make sense to me is this. Since Marty came back to 1885, doesn't that mean there is now TWO Deloreans present in 1885? The one Marty used to get back to 1885 in, and then the one that stranded Doc Brown in 1885 from BTT2....if so, then why not use the gas lines and gas from the one Doc Brown gets stranded with to repair the one Marty damage during the Indian chase? Then simply leave a note on the one that Doc stores in the cave for his 1955 counterpart to find with a note to add on a gas line along with the tires, and the other repairs, in 1955?

I was just watching Parts 1-2 last night. Marty McFly is coolness incarnate.

The DeLorean had been stored in the mine for 70 years, so to do that Doc had to drain the tank.

So how was Marty just okay with his new life in the 80's? His family was completely different acting. They weren't the same people he grew up with...I'd feel uneasy about that. And what happened to the Marty that existed in that time before?

Also, the Doc's death... I get that Marty saved his life, but still, that couldn't have been the exact same Doc Brown. I wonder what this time traveling means for the soul. If the soul departs into the after-life, would time-travel pull it back down to earth?! AAAAAGH! So frustrated.

That happens with pretty much all time travel movies - it can drive you crazy if you think about it too much! @_@

Soon after the first movie came out, someone wrote an interesting essay called "The Other Marty McFly", about how the Marty who grew up in the successful family was able to return home quickly because Doc - who now knew what was going to happen - made sure to have extra plutonium in the car. But the second Marty went back to the future of the first Marty, where his family was a bunch of losers.

ETA: Here it is if anyone wants to read it, it was published in the July 1986 issue of Starlog:

Damn, that thing gave me a headache reading it!

And today is the real day that Marty traveled to 2015. ;)

It's strange... The Marty/Doc relationship is shown to be a very strong bond in the first film, hell through out all three. But does it ever bug anyone else that we never see exactly WHY these two individuals actually are friends? BTTF just starts out with teen Marty hanging out with Doc. We see he has access to Doc's home, is friendly with Doc's dog, but how did these guys meet? It's not something that ruins the films by any measure, since comedy trumps all logic in the films, it's just something that sticks out to me. Unless I am not remembering something?

Nope, it never bugged me in the slightest. I love how it just started off with them being friends. :word:

Well, I guess there is a kind of wish fulfillment thing going on. As a youngster, who wouldn't want to be friends with a crazy inventor/scientist that makes cool stuff? Of course, then you turn 15/16 and most of our energy starts going from G rated flights of fancy to R rated thoughts about every other girl we see on a daily basis. :woot:

Watched all three with my girlfriend in two days. I still love most of it. The only really glaring part for me is the train ending. It seems to go against everything the Doctor learned about the dangers of time travel and seems like a glaring plot hole.

Lord of the Rings? Or Back to the Future?

Maybe it's a reference to the classic wizard + apprentice relationship, like Gandalf and Frodo, or Merlin and Arthur. Or Jake and the Fatman. :hehe:

I think he just... changed his mind. It was his time-travelling adventures that allowed him to find the love of his life. The speech he gives to Marty is also a pretty good indication that he just decided to live his life and stop being so mathematical about it.

One of the most perfectly entertaining trilogies ever made. That's really all that needs to be said.
