I think I can say with 99.999999% certaintity that I would have no desire to see a reboot. That isnt to say that I wouldn't watch it. Someone might drag me along with them to watch it. I just cant see a reboot working for me. Doc and Marty are iconic, and short of Zemeckis directing the reboot I don't see it having the same charm and heart as the trilogy. It just wouldnt be a film for me so I'd most likely pass on seeing it if I had a choice.

Im not anti-reboot, but this is a reboot that isnt needed for any real reason other than profit. From a business stand point they all are for profit, but some reboots make sense if the origonal film is old or cheaply made or poorly made. BTTF (even with its wrong future tech) has aged wonderfully imo, and is neither cheaply made nor poorly made. So, no to a reboot or any further films. Doc Brown lived a happy life with his family. And Marty and Jennifer lived a happy life and would have grandkids by now. Leav it alone, hollywood. Please!

While Bob and Bob won't ever allow for a sequel or a remake, as we know, both are open to video games and an animated series because both are continuations of Doc and Marty.

Has comic book ever been an option?

I actually had some of the Harvey Comics, they were more or less based off the cartoon show.

Pretty cool, but it seems that's a replica of the time machine DeLorean, not one that was ever used in the movies.

I remember watching Pawn Stars and some guy brought in a replica time machine DeLorean to sell.. They didn't buy it because the car itself wasn't all that great and since it was only a replica, they didn't think they could get much for it. So all they could offer the guy was as much as any other old used DeLorean would fetch, which wasn't a lot.

Yes I know they don't sell screen used props but they're the company that was commissioned to make the replica DeLorean time machine for Universal and the Ecto-1 for Columbia for the Blu-ray releases of the movie.

What I'm asking is if anyone here has any hands-on experience with their cars. I'm looking to find testimonials of their work before I look into spending any money

actually the ecto 1 was the actual screen used car that they restored to help promote the 2009 video game and the delorean at USH is also the screen used car restored and is now stored indoors now.

Videobob has, let's say, not a stellar reputation among the replica community. That's my observation from following the hobby for the last 6 years. And I don't think he's ever done anything in any capacity for Universal Studios. Honestly, go to Temporal FX. Those are the guys who were entrusted to restore the real car, and who's own replica (built by Joe Walser, owned by Terry Matelas) is the official car of use for Universal Studios. It was seen most recently in GE's ad this fall.

Cool, thanks. I see a lot of negativity about that guy but I can't seem to figure out where it comes from. Any examples or links you know of to people who've had bad business with the guy? Temporal was the first company I reached out to but after two tries in the past month I haven't gotten a response. Their website hasn't been updated in awhile it seems

Unfortunately, I don't have specific links. It's just from seeing peoples' accounts of their dealings with him over the years. There's also the fact that he comes across as a shameless self-promoter in everything he does.

So Marty arrived at our time a few days ago!?

The people that make those things, should be beaten with a stick.

:hehe: it's so easy for me to remember that date, cause my birthday is Oct 21st.

There will probably be a 10 minute song of Marty just opening the dolrean door and turning it on but never driving away.

Um, so apparently there's a musical coming...

I love musicals, but...

Um - huh???

This is one of the LAST movies I'd ever peg for promising musical material!

I wonder how they're going to approach it - are they going to keep the story set in 1985/ 1955 or put Marty in 2014 and make him hip and sardonic? Are they going to keep the more emotional stuff like Doc and Marty's friendship or will they focus more on the sex farce angle between Marty and his 1955 teenage mom? How are they going to handle all the time traveling special effects on a stage? Can they make the DeLorean look like it's going 88 miles an hour?

Frankly I can't see this ever getting out of workshop mode. BTTF was perfect as a movie and doesn't need a musical treatment to enhance its story. Guess we'll see...Of course, this is the Daily Mail so who knows if it's even true!

Gotcha, thanks for the heads up

Um, so apparently there's a musical coming...

Yes. Hell yes. A BTTF rock opera with Zemecki, Gale AND Silvestri behind the scenes? Bring it.

If Biff doesn't sing a "Make like a tree" power ballad then gtfo :jedi

Iwan Rheon who played Simon in Misfits and Ramsey Snow in Game of Throne is rumoured to be one of the front runners for the role of Marty McFly in the Back To The Future musical.

As well as acting Rheon has released three EPs.

Can ANYONE help me with what kinds of studio tour this was for BTTF in 1989?

I took this picture in 1989 at the New York International car show.

It was a tour and the Delorean was gold colored

I'd like to know more about what kind of event this was. I asked in 2010 on the BTTF forums

The forum is gone but I can read the cached version

I was at the same show and sat in the same car. It was downstairs way in the corner with a future police car and motor cycle. It was $5 for a polaroid photo. At that point, one of the coolest things I'd ever seen or done. :)

That's all someone posted. Any help would be appreciated.
