There wasn't any ice either when he travels to 1885. Maybe because the climate was too hot (?).

I was willing to pay the $580 USD they're being charged in Hong Kong. $690 here in the States is absurd, regardless of how awesome the toy is. :(

Yeah, it is really expensive, but I bet it looks incredible. I have this one on my DVD shelf, and it's pretty detailed and fits perfectly on top of my shelf next to my Blu Ray box set. Its not as good as that Hot Toys, but it's still detailed and very nice. Although, its much more expensive now. I think I got mine for about $35 about 5-6 years ago.

I know the feeling but I look at it that way : it's "only" $100 more, if I'm willing to spend 500 I can spend 600.

I vowed to never let go a piece that I really ( like bad, end of the world stuff ) want.

Now, the Delorean with Marty .....:)

So when do you guys think the inevitable reboot will be?? Would it be a full reboot or like old man Doc gives a time machine to a new character?

the Hot Toys Delorean IS cool but the one thing I do not like about it (other than the crazy $$$) the tail lights, they made them all light up with the headlights, not just the red parts but the back up and the orange turn indicators. I know it is nitpicking but for something that is pushing 700 bucks you think they would just have the red parts light up *shakes head*.

Bob Gale and Bob Zemeckis have said many times that there will not be a reboot or sequel as long as both are alive.

Yeah it is. I keep thinking it's a $200 for some reason. I think it being so much closer to $700 stands out in my mind.

I'm waiting to see more of the Hot Wheels Elite DeLorean, too. If the Part 1 car looks decent, I'd be fine having that 1:18 scale sitting here in my office instead. Also really curious about the Elite 1:18 Kilmer car.

Hot Wheels Elite is a good bargain ( I'm contemplating their Batmobile 1989 ) but HotToys is another realm.
For info, the Delorean is 680€ here, you are lucky :)
Unless I was a BTTF die hardcore fan, I would not spend that much, personally ( I do that for Alien and Robocop :p ).

We're watching this at work next week. We're having an 80s movie day, and it won the vote almost unanimously.

I'd love a new BTTF animated series with a style similar to Clone Wars. Or maybe go traditional again, but the best way to get new content would be to go animated.

I would be just happy if they released the 90s animated series on DVD maybe it is something they can do apart of the 30th anniversary in 2015 ;).

I just want more adventures with Marty and Doc. I loved the recent video game to death; it was great being in that world again with new stories.

What about novels or books? I think I'd go with that one, if they want to continue exploring ideas.

The problem is once you start writing new material, the timeline becomes so freaking convoluted.

Bob Gale and Bob Zemeckis have said many times that there will not be a reboot or sequel as long as both are alive.

Some things just need to be left alone and this is one of them.

Were Raiders and ESB in among the options?

Sadly, no. Someone filled up the list with bad sequels (Superman IV, anyone?) just to mess with the list. Although someone did vote for Grease 2.

Any 80's list without ESB, Raiders and The Ghostbusters is just wrong! and that's before we get to R rated films. At Christmas you must insist on a Die Hard and Scrooged double bill. :D

well there is some decent fanfiction out there I read all of this girl's stuff she is not some fan that wrote stuff she eventually wrote real books too but started out with BTTF fan faction and they are quite good.

the first story literally takes place not far after the end of part III

There was a website that I went to years ago that had fanfiction of BTTF. Loved reading them. Wish I still new the website. :csad:
