The Dark Knight Rises The Bane's/Hardy's size thread.

Has anybody complained yet that Anne isn't busty enough? Or did anyone say Scarecrow wasn't skinny enough?

This whole thing just kind of flies over my head.

As Brit I love Michael Caine, one of our most iconic actors, but I not 100% with his version of Alfred.

Care to elaborate?

It's easy to post an opinion for the sake of posting and then disappear.

There's really no need for that kind of reply.

To answer your question, he is great at giving advice to Bruce and obviously Caine has great character, but he does not convince me that he would be a Butler.

I much prefer the Michael Gough portrayal in that sense.

I don't think Alfred was ever meant be a butler for 90% of the time.

This thread has served no purpose whatsoever.

What was he employed to do 90% of the time then?

Alfred is more a help to Bruce, call it sidekick even. But not only the dude that walks around with a broom & dinner.

Which he does in Nolan's series too.

I don't think there is any doubt that as an advisor and crutch for Bruce, Caine excells as Alfred, as I suggested before. He brings great humour and world weariness to the part.

But of course he was hired as a Butler to the Wayne's, the above only came later, and so we must also be convinced in him in that role.

For me, personally, Caine does not convince.

But of course none of this is to do with Bane...

Then why did you post it in the first place?

None of this thread has to do with Bane, because he fits perfectly in the "realistic" version of Nolan.

Or maybe the OP has a body to die for? :woot:

I'm not surprised by this thread as there seem to be a bunch of people who want most superheroes and supervillains to be played by mostly wrestlers.

I remember when people wanted Thor to be played by Triple H.

Bruce could do that not only because of his strength but because of the adrenalin. Plus, its a movie.

And afew 200lb guys can do an iron cross that I know of..so at 240 with his special gas it seems possible. Plus...its a movie.

I’ll agree that some of Bruce’s feat was adrenaline, but he’s also a trained ninja, which means mastering his fear, so when Ducard is sliding down the mountain we aren’t talking about the “a car fell on my child” kind of rush. Albeit there certainly would be some boost happening.

Bane’s iron cross was stuck from 4 to 6 ft of free fall in a plane dangling violently enough to impose the croppy shuffle on everyone else. He is super human.

sorry but u guys are discussing some dumb ass stuff lol. I know your all hyped up and I GUESS there's nothing to talk about but cmon, its a movie, stop questioning stupid **** like this. Where do these freakin threads come from

We finally have a thread where all that crap belongs and the original Hardy/Bane thread is finally clean. If you don't like this thread, don't post here, but it most definitely serves a purpose.

Hardy's arms look so skinny in the clip of him tossing the shattered cowl on the ground.
