On last night's episode, when Barry mentioned using a compressible micro fabric for his mask, it was a nod/hint at this:

the particle accelerator sent out a shock wave that may have done something to the chemicals… we see them bubbling and hovering before the lightning strike

Glad you liked it, but do you still consider The Flash '90 series better than Arrow?

Haha, well I will say that Arrow certainly has the POTENTIAL to be better than it, especially given last night's episode. I said I would npt watch it unless (or until) he wore a mask, and he put one on last night, so the show just gained another viewer. Lol.

You know there's no way that series was better, Arrow is just at another level, among the best tv has to offer. We'll see how much you enjoy the rest, the moment they start changing a few things in the new Flash show (and they will), you'll start hating again!!

Hey now, I'll give it all a chance...I just want to see a good show. I think my biggest prob with Arrow is that I want Amell to be more hot headed or hot tempered and kind of a jerk like Ollie is in the comics. I think maybe that's why I don't feel him as GA necessarily, because I don't see much of Ollie's trademark personality in him, he's been very bland to me, but I hope that changes. I want him to be the jerkish GA of the comics, stronger personality - right now he is essentially what GA was in the late 40s/50s, pretty much Batman but with an arrow motif. Still waiting to see GA.

BUT that said....their handling of The Flash was AWESOME, and everything, and I do mean everything, in last night's episode was a BIG improvement than how the show began. I hope they keep it up.

I'll be watching.

Now I guess we have to wait till the Flash pilot to see Barry again since Arrow's ep 20 will be a normal episode, unless he makes a surprise appearance to help Ollie before the season is over. t:

Yeah. Ten months from now is a while to wait. But hey, I look at it this way - if it were a movie, we'd be waiting til at least 2015, if not 2016, at the earliest, so I will be content with this. (I caught what Barry said about having feelings for someone but them not liking you back, I'm almost certain that is in reference to Iris West given what is said about her character in the casting call stuff)

Well, then get ready to be disappointed:

Kreisberg: In the same way that "Arrow" was conducive to bringing on characters like Deadshot and the Huntress and some of the more grounded people, hopefully with "The Flash" there's a way to bring on some of the more fantastical characters, that will probably still go through the grounding lens with which we view everything. But we could tackle some of the bigger villains, and possibly heroes. There's a hint of a major character in the pilot.

I don't know if the costumes will be as colorful as they are in the comics, but I'm sure they could end up good. If they're going with a full blown Flash costume, then his rogues will have outfits as well most likely.

I think Captain Cold and Captain Boomerang might be easy to do without going too far out there, but I'm not sure about the rest. Heat Wave too, I guess.

I think they could find a way to make them work in a slightly grounded setting if they wanted to. These are the same guys who are bringing the Clock King to Arrow, after all.
