Funny, because in my experience, fans tend to do the exact opposite. They tend to instantly assume the worst and complain about how a particular casting choice cannot work. The tend to take the most pessimistic view of a particular project possible. And despite being proven wrong many times before, they still keep doing it. There's nothing "complacent" about waiting until we have ANY actual footage of the actors in action before judging their quality, that's simply common sense. To judge their performances before one second of footage has been revealed is quite frankly just dumb and ridiculous.

No we haven't. We've seen some brief shots out of context that aren't from the actual show and using scenes that may or may not actually be in the show (script's get rewritten all the time). We haven't seen nearly enough of anything to make judgments about it. We haven't seen them interact for an extended period of time to judge how layered their performances are or what the context still is. So yes, my point about jumping the gun still stands.

I am looking forward to this, nothing substantial has been shown so getting negative about it already is just silly. I hope Barry and Vibe have some sort of nerdy rivalry with each other, that could be interesting to watch.

What I think might be most interesting, if they do the cyclotron (read: Particle Accelerator), like the Island, is this idea of flashing back to the same 3-12 hour time period throughout a season or two. Constructing that timeline could be hard work, but could also be a lot of fun.

I'm pretty sure that's the plan! It sounds pretty good to me, I just hope that isn't a blanket explanation for every supervillain though

... I actually do hope that. It makes abundant sense, and keeps things nice and tidy. So tidy. Mmmm, the tidiness. I think once Zoom gets up to speed, so to speak, they can start bringing tech from the future. That could be fun, but up until that point, Particle Accelerator takes care of the technobabble and lets the writers get on to the real story.

All the rogues? ...yeah. It's no more convenient (or redundant) than all soldiers using guns, or having gotten their skills through training. I think they should change things up and have non powered villains regularly though, those who use modern technology on the cutting edge, but there really should only be one or two major macguffins for the first season, anything else cheapens the sci-fi, imho.

Well,tbh I became a Flash fan from watching the original series,so I'd really love to see the same dynamic.(He works the streets/she works the lab)I think Felicity could make a good Tina substitute,but I doubt they'll risk angering the Olicity shippers by taking her off Arrow.

And,yeah...it just sounds like the Iris character has "fail" written all over it already,so why prolong the misery?

But that's where you "wait and see" types get it wrong.We're not judging if the performance will be good before seeing it,we're judging if the actor is a good fit given the nature of the character.

Is Michael Douglas going to give a good performance as Hank Pym?If I were a betting man,I'd say yes.But I already know he's not going to give me the character I wanted to see.Good actor/poor fit for the character based on what I expected from the original concept of the character.See how that works?

Yeah....I'd rather not see the CW drama crap they think their audiences are so in love with. After the pilot if course - I will be giving the show a chance, I'm just saying this will most likely end up being the case if the info we have is any indication unfortunately.

Judging by how he is now and the pilot hasn't even been filmed, i'm gonna say no.

He'll be one of those people that doesn't like the show but yet somehow manages to know everything that happened in every episode and does nothing but complain.

If I don't watch the show regularly I won't be in threads commenting about it. If I watch it on the promise that it's "going to get better with every episode!" then I'll be watching and waiting for it to deliver on that while critiquing the things that don't. If I watch it and love it but it has room for improvement I'll be talking about how much I love what I love and talking about the few things I hope it improves.
