Indeed. Peter is not much of a comic book guy though. But he has geeked out over working with other real-life superheroes (real-life to him, not us) such as Captain America.
Lol.Flash is a really underrated character IMO. He's got everything that the GA would find appealing - personality, humor, relatability, cool powers, and intelligence (I always saw him as the smartest of the original 7 JL members after Batman). It sucks that all the GA knows of him is his look and his name due to how much WB sucks at doing anything non-Batman.![]()
Yeah, they know a guy in red and the name. Not even sure what his powers are, and dammit if they don't attach "Gordon" to the end of his name half the time when I mention him.![]()

With a tv budget, I don't think they're going to do talking gorillas. Maybe even the movies will avoid them to keep it more grounded and avoid "Planet of the Apes" comparisons and jokes, we'll see.
Just read (skimmed) your idea for a flash movie and I gotta say I was impressed, I'd totally watch that movie![]()

I figured. But there'll be some disappointed fans frustrated with the approach they've taken as the creators put themselves in a tight corner, but that comes with most of the on-screen DC franchises I guess thanks to the successful approach they've taken with Batman.
With a tv budget, definitely not a chance of Grodd, unless in the movies they could just make two Gorillas, 1 being Grodd and the other being Ultra-Humanite?
I'm really not all that I pressed by Grodd compared to the Rogues and Zooms. Capt. Cold in all his alcoholic trailer-trash glory and surprisingly strong common sense would be awesome to see, and while I am much more partial to Zoloman as Zoom, obsessed fanboy gone horribly wrong Thawne would be awesome to see on Netherlands small screen.
Ok so you have this guy Dr. George Roddney(Get it?
) who's a Primatologist who's friends with Barry. Sometime during the season he injects himself with Gorilla DNA and becomes the Grodd we know and tries to take over by turning everyone else into Gorillas and using bananas as weapons against Grodd.
t:What I hate the most is that right now all the GA really know of The Flash is Big Bang Theory.God, I hate that show, if not just got that reason.
I think many people not into comic books know the Flash from the 90' TV Show.
All they know of the Flash is the name and how he looks. That is literally it.

A trained Gorilla with some GGI enhancements wouldn't be that expensive. I'm even willing to take a cheesy Grodd, ala Smallville villains, if it gets him on screen. He also has a darker, more intimidating presence than the likes of Cold, Boomerang, Toyman, and Trickster. That might be necessary to give the show some weight.
The Rogues and Professor Zoom are very do-able with this version of the Flash and I have no doubt they'll be done. However we can't ignore some of the non-grounded nature of some of the villains.
lol guys I just thought of a funny way to approach Grodd in the Flash TV-verse. What if they do something like Doomsday on Smallville?Ok so you have this guy Dr. George Roddney(Get it?

What do you think?![]()
t:
I'd take a guy in a gorilla suit if it meant getting Grodd onto the show.
Not sure still. I think it's matter of how you could introduce and handle a wacky character like Grodd in a grounded setting which is the problem.
Doomsday on SV was terrible, so no, they shouldn't do anything like that.
Grodd is a lot less whacky than most Flash villains. Most of Flash's villains are very-kid centric and would need a lot of changes to appeal to adults. That's not the case with Grodd.

Can we stop with the ****ting on Smallville every ten seconds? Not every situation calls for it.

This situation (talking about another DC tv show based on a major DC character) calls for it. Smallville deserves all the criticism it gets. It had some good episodes, but as a whole it failed.

Agreed. I've always felt that The Flash is the heart of the JL.

I wasn't ****ting on Smallville. Because Smallville was on CW and this show is on CW people assume that this show will adapt Flash and his world the same way.
