He's 66, about the same age Alec Guinness was when he played George Smiley in the 70's mini-series.How old is Daniels?

I really like Anthony Daniels for Alfred.

A lot of people suggest more macho old-timers like Sean Connery or Jeremy Irons, probably because their trying to match Michael Caine and because Alfred is usually a former British agent. But I like the idea of Alfred being a little more unassuming and gentlemanly, kinda like George Smiley from John le Carre's spy novels (That's the guy Gary Oldman plays in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy btw).
The Anthony Daniels/Alfred shout is absolutely inspired.
Wow. Like Lee Pace, another Oklahoma-born actor who had Amy Adams (Lois Lane) as love interest in a movie (Enchanted). Interesting.James Marsden for Batman.

He's a little short, but honestly, that can be compensated for. I like him. I wouldn't mind him for the role, he's a very underrated actor, but I don't think he makes a convincing bada**. He'd be ideal for Barry Allen.James Marsden for Batman.

All right...I've changed my mind. Lee Pace would be fantastic in a Batman reboot.
As Robin.
Think about it. He can easily pass for 15-17 or so. And look at him...he's got the round, cherubic, boyish face, big ears, a "beaklike" nose, the eyebrows that would need to be hidden behind a domino mask to protect his identity, and its obvious that his hair that can do anything it puts its mind to:

Even this:

Look how awesome he'd be as Dick Grayson:

And since he has amazing range, he can go from laughing daredevil to martial arts crimefighting badass. With his vocal range and ability to do a deeper voice, there won't be any issues when he eventually becomes Nightwing, though he'd have to grow some of his facial hair.
This NEEDS to happen!
James Marsden for Batman.

not reallyJust some ideas. Some might have trouble seeing Gosling as Batman, but he's one of the few young actors out there that I think could match the dark intensity of Bale and perhaps even take the character into new territory. His range is incredible.
Batman/Bruce Wayne: Ryan Gosling
The Joker: Benedict Cumberbatch
Harvey Dent/Two-Face: Ryan Phillipe
Catwoman/Selina Kyle: Natalie Dormer
The Penguin: Paul Giamatti
The Riddler: Michael Pitt
Jim Gordon: Bryan Cranston
Dick Grayson: Richard Harmon
Lucious Fox: Courtney B. Vance
Poison Ivy: Alexandra Breckenridge
Mr. Freeze: Charles Dance
Harvey Bullock: Dean Norris
Rupert Thorne: Brendan Gleeson
Barbara Gordon: Sophie Turner
Renee Montoya: Dania Ramirez
Deadshot: Joel Edgerton
The Huntress/Helena Bertinelli: Krysten Ritter
Note: I actually think there is a slim chance that Anne Hathaway might be the one carry-over from the Nolanverse. It looks like she really threw herself into that role and it seems unlikely that they would want to recast after just introducing what might be a really popular take on the character. I think it could work, if TDKR is a good as everyone is hoping it will be.
Shouldve been the green lantern. He is not a bad actor. Cyclops just didnt have alot to doJames Marsden for Batman.

Nah, I'm not into Pace.
Honestly, Ricky Fitts is still my preferred choice. The way he was able to portray subtle, frighteningly controlled anger mixed with an overarching feeling of aloofness in American Beauty is exactly what Batman needs. He would be very much in e vein of Keaton's Batman, and would be even better for the role than Bale, IMO.
My only concern would be that he'd be unable to portray that strange combination of psychotic likabiliity that Keaton was somehow able to capture.
