I really want to see Jensen as Batman.

I love me some Jensen Ackles, but not for Batman at all.

And I kind of like the idea of Gordon being the same age as Batman, but Gordon should never be younger than Batman.

Why not? He's an amazing actor. Jensen can easily play a great Batman.

I actually like Jared Padelecki better for Batman (especially a TV Batman), though I admit Ackles is the better actor.

Nah, Jared is great, but he doesn't have as much range. I see him making a bad-ass Tarzan though, if they ever want to make a live action version... XD

Jensen has all the qualities Batman needs. He can be bad-ass, sympathetic, sad, angry and he can even pull off dark-humour. Jensen's got the face for it, he can work out, and he's got a pretty deep voice as is. Not to mention he'd be a cheaper option.

I just really want to see Jensen get the credit he deserves. He is such a good actor.

I sort of like Gordon being the same as Bats too.

But you would lose that connection between the 2 where Gordon is the one who comforted young Bruce after his parents murder. It's not important, but it does cement them together in a deeper way. It's because of Bruce that spurned on Gordon's quest for justice in Gotham.

i want jared to be cyc.

jensen is 34 though. how old would you want bats to be by the time the reboot gets around?

Another actor I'd like considered for Bruce/Bats is Guy Pearce!

Yeah, Guy would make a pretty good Batman, too.

I'd want an older Batman for the reboot. I don't want to see another young Batman learning the ropes.

You go on the Lex Luthor casting thread and everyone agrees that Guy Pearce is a smarmy ***hole, that everybody wants to punch in the face! Perfect for The Riddler :hehe:

And I disagree about an older Batman. He doesn't have to be older to be established. I'm not saying young, but an actor in his mid 30's and by the time a 3rd movie comes out, he'll be in his early 40's...that would be cool.

Assuming WB wants the reboot out by 2015, he'd be 37. And assuming they make 3 movies, 1 every 2 years, he'd only be 41 by the end of the trilogy. I see nothing wrong with that. RDJ is much older and he's still doing Iron Man.

Ackles as Batman? Haha.

One every two years? This isn't Marvel Studios. There are 3 year gaps between the Bat films. 4 between the most recent ones.

The last time we got a Bat film rushed into production at Warners in two years was Batman and Robin.

Yeah, because Nolan likes to do a film in between, and so did Burton. Maybe the next director won't want to do that. 2 years isn't rushing a production.

And why "haha" at Jensen?

Exactly. There's a difference between established and older.

Whoever is cast in the Batman reboot may have to play Batman from around 2015 -2025 ideally.

Bale was cast as Batman in 2003, and he's hanging up his cowl in the 2012 film.

Guy Pearce, way too old!

These are my pics based on how I feel atm, but I think it'd be damn close to my final choices!

Based on POI and his connection to a Nolan already, and the fact hes a quiet badass, hes Batman

Absolutely, YES! If you want to see how superb he'd be as Batman, check out the Count of Monte Cristo film. He's intense.

Because he's completely wrong for Batman. He can't pull off tough and intimidating.

He would be a weird downgrade after Christian Bale.

You've clearly never watched Supernatural. Being a tough badass is a huge part of his character.

Sure, he's not as great as Bale overall, but Jensen is a fantastic actor who would give us a better Batman than Bale has.

The thing about Jensen is, he's got such great range, I can see him making an awesome Batman, Flash, Green Lantern or Green Arrow.

Iv caught afew episodes of Supernatural and I think he comes off like a prettyboy the women will like and not much more..I mean not as bad at the Twilight guys but close to Tatum. I don't think he has much depth or skill..notice I said ''I think" lol so its just my opinion. Jim Caviezel is the only guy I can really think of at this point who could be believable.

too much of a longshot & wishful thinking, but if we ever get to see Batman face off against Firefly on film, i think Timothy Olyphant would make an excellent Garfield Lynss/Firefly

In the beginning of the show, Jensen's character wasn't as angry and depressed, but now a days, he's definitely not just some pretty boy. His performance reflects all the crap he's gone through. Perfect for Bruce Wayne. Under the right direction, Jensen would be downright perfect.

This is one of my favorite clips:

No offense Elite, but to me that scene is pure CW melodrama (acting included) if ever I've seen it. I stopped watching Supernatural in Season 2, but I still catch it every now and then and have yet to see ANYTHING from Jensen in the later seasons to make me think his acting skills have improved enough from what I saw in the first two seasons to be good enough for Batman.

I like Jensen, I just think he's better off sticking to the wise-cracking sarcastic character types he made his name with. He doesn't have a lot of dramatic gravitas.

Like I said in my amazing casting sheet lol..I think he would make an amazing Two-face!

I remember what put me off him...

Better Batman than Bale? Haha.

Bale won an Oscar for his range as an actor, and Ackles is on some low budget CW show.

Sorry, but I can't even see him as even a mediocre candidate for Batman. He's as wrong for the role as Clooney was. He isn't convincing as a 'tough badass' at all, except maybe by CW standards. :hehe:

Flash is a better fit for him, but even with that there are far better actors, especially those with proper film resumes.

Batman deserves much better than him.

Bale's performances as Batman really aren't all that impressive.

And they certainly aren't on par with his performance in The Fighter.

Bale wasn't given the Oscar for his performance as Batman, and I never said he's a better actor than Bale, read the post before replying.

Bale is my favourite actor, and imo, he's also the best, but his Batman isn't that great. It can easily be topped.

Sounds like what everyone was saying about Heath and Keaton before they shut everyone up. I'm positive Jensen would be a great Batman.

Not even close.
