That's funny, I nearly suggested Eva Green for Catwoman but I'm not sure she could pull off the requisit slinkiness. I think Depp would be too camp for Batman and Kenneth Branagh to buff and physical to be Alfred. Bob Hoskins would be good as Penguin though.

Many actresses have been able to adapt to physically challenging roles.

People thought Michael Keaton was too comedic to play Batsy, yet that turned out so well and not camp.

Moreover, Depp is quite versatile, albeit eccentric.

Kenneth Branagh to buff and physical to be Alfred.

He's an actor that has played different Shakespeare characters and could be the BTAS Alfred, with the mustache and bald transformation.

Johnny Depp is not imposing at all. It isn't even scary. He is just crazy and bizarre...

I think Essen is more up her alley.

I'm not sure he has the range to pull off a villain.

Branagh is way too alpha to play Alfred. He's too kickass to be someone's man servant.

The joker: Brad pitt
the riddler: Johnny depp
mr freeze: Ben kingsley

gordon: Peter weller

Hey guys, after reading these forums for months, I decided to sign up. Here's some of my casting thoughts...

Alfred - Geoffrey Rush. I've got him in my head ever since The Kings Speech.

The Joker - Robert Carlyle (Once Upon a Time, Hitler: Rise of Evil, etc)

Two-Face - Max Martini (He's got the voice) from The Unit and a whole bunch of other tv shows or Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (GoT)

The Riddler - Benedict Cumberbatch from Sherlock. I could also picture him as a younger Joker.

The Penguin - Colm Meaney, from Hell on Wheels

Victor Zsasz - Michael Massee from The Crow, Seven, 24 etc. He's literally one of the creepiest actors ever

Firefly - Aaron Paul (The Breaking Bad). Just try and picture it. This guy would also make quite a sick Joker.

Deadshot - Josh Holloway (Lost, MI:Ghost Protocol)

Yeah, that Alfred choice is really good. The rest seem a little uninspired, especially Cumberbatch as Riddler, seems far too obvious.

Cumberbatch to me seems like he could be suited for a Superman villain.

Brad Pitt as Joker - you have to be joking! The guy can barely act! Certainly he cannot do character pieces.

I see what you mean man. Benedict would make quite an interesting Lex Luthor, If he shaved his head. Brainiac also...

David Hyde Pierce as Edward Nygma/The Riddler.

Question. Do we know if the Reboot would require a young Batman like another origin story? or an older Established Batman?

For a Younger Batman i would cast Jonathan Rys Meyers

For an Established Batman, I would still cast Billy Crudup

As for Alfred. Bill Nighy seems like the best choice to me.

Probably already posted this, but Alexandra Breckinridge would make an awesome Poison Ivy:

I'm not a big fan of the idea but it's inevitable that when WB go looking for a Batman for their Justice League, Jake Gyllenhaal would be one of the frontrunners.
