The Batman Reboot Casting Thread - Part 2

Perhaps we need to think of who would make a good Batman for a Justice Legue film?

The Batman in JL will probably separate from the one in the eventual reboot franchise.

I personally think they'll get some hack creative team (like Green Lantern) to do Justice League, since they're rushing this one into production, it sounds very studio-driven and they're after a major cash grab.

Batman will probably get some inspired artsy director years down the line.. who actually has a vision, like Chris did.

Uslan and the others won't let the solo Batman films get effed over after Nolan. He raised the threshold for quality so high. TDKR is Oscar calibur material in the making.

DC can't be this stupid.

DC can't be this stupid.

Warner Bros isn't set up like Marvel Studios. The logistics wouldn't work anyways, the way things are now.

The likelihood of JL being a self-contained franchise is strong, especially with it being rushed for 2015.

I just really hope they keep Geoff Johns and all the others at DCE responsible for Green Lantern's mediocrity out of JL, but they'll probably all be involved.

JL sounds like a studio-driven project with every exec having their hand in the cookie jar.

I just hope they don't cast it as poorly as Justice League Mortal... urgh, Armie Hammer as Batman, DJ Cotrona as Superman... Wtf.

The more I think about it, the more I want Bill Hader as The Joker. He's such a talented comedian and performer with a very expressive face, good energy, and a wide range of voices. A comedian like Hader would give Joker more range than he's had in any incarnation (other than Hamill's). From madcap to frightening.

:wow:

damn, this picture just screams Bruce Wayne. after Jon Hamm, Bentley is definitely my #2 choice to take over Bale.

Agreed, and on the plus side if they do a Superman/Batman crossover film, Bentley will not tower over Cavill.

Ah, okay. Sorry. There have just been so many annoying "Cavill is too short to play Superman" comments around these boards that I thought that's where you were going with that. Anyway, yeah, Supes should be taller than Batman.

Stephen Amell (Arrow) is 6'1, I think Cavill is closer to 6'0:

They need to end this Justice League crap and give Batman a proper reboot.

Keep the films going. Worry about teamups much later down the line.

Hopefully the incredible box office for TDKR will get WB focused back on the Batman.

In the end I think they'll make the right decision. Having two Supermen and two Batmen makes absolutely NO sense whatsoever. I think they need to make a Trinity movie, followed by The Flash and a Green Lantern sequel(with a new crew). Then you can make the Justice League right.

BTW, Hader as the Joker

i understand wb's apprehension. their fear has to do with returns and GL.

they don't want to **** it up.

i think, they're just waiting to see how well man of steel is received.

any project involving the JL will get fast tracked if that does well.

i want to see a Batman/Superman crossover film before a JLA. WB/DC would definitely have an easier time pulling that off than an JLA film. and that way they can use to test out whether a JLA film will work.
