Could Ben Walker pull off the TAS-inspired Batman?

He's 6'3. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0907548/

he'd be great. i personally don't have an issue with bats being taller then supes. he's the godam superman.

Oh after Drive, there's no doubt in my mind he'd kick ass as Bats. But really everyone should watch this short film http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pt9wnawn7xQ it stars Jake Gyllenhaal as a serial killer, it shows his diversity and intensity, showing hes not just a nice guy in his movies, he can be a badass too. And he looks like Wayne in this too, if they dyed his hair black he would look a lot like comics Wayne.

you got a little bit of bats in drive and a bit of bruce in crazy stupid love.

i still want bale to return though.

Bryan Cranston has to be Gordon - he's perfect for the role! He nailed the voice acting in Batman: Year One, and he's great in Breaking Bad. He could totally pull it off.

Not sure for Batman, but whoever they end up casting has some big shoes to fill. Say what you want about Bale's Bat-growl, but he was a damn good Batman/Bruce Wayne.

Alan Rickman as Alfred?

He IS already friendly with WB for being in the most successful film franchise of all time which was released by them.

My Batman cast right now

Batman: Jake Gyllenhaal (would have to work out a lot)
Alfred: Alan Rickman
Commisioner Gordon: Viggo Mortensen
Professor Hugo Strange: Christoph Waltz
Basil Karlo/Clayface: Benicio Del Toro
Oswald Cobblepot: Eddie Marsan

I like it.

Here's mine

Bryan Cranston-Jim Gordon
Joaquin Phoenix-Black Mask
Stanley Tucci-Hugo Strange

HELL YEAH to Rickman! i actually had suggested him in previous pages :word:

I like yours too. Big NO to Anthony Daniels.. The last Alfred was friggin Michael Caine. We need a bigger name because the supporting cast is going to be selling the new Batman film just like the Nolan trilogy (Caine, Oldman, Freeman)

I actually wanted Joaquin Phoenix or Stanley Tucci to be in my cast, both are great actors. What about Tucci as Mr. Freeze? I still like Waltz in the role, Christoph Waltz or Ralph Fiennes for Hugo Strange. Actually I could see Javier Bardem with a shaved head and distorted voice as Mr Freeze.

Everyone else in my cast is a very popular actor. He's C3PO man, that's pretty popular.

Some ideas for a mostly older Batman cast.

Batman: James Purefoy
Commissioner Gordon: Sam Shepard
The Joker: Walton Goggins
Sasha Bordeaux: Ludivine Sagnier
Hugo Strange: Charles Dance
Deadshot: Joel Edgerton
Dick Grayson/Nightwing: Drew Roy
Barbara Gordon: Amber Heard
Rupert Thorne: Titus Welliver
Sarah Essen: Amy Ryan
The Ventriloquist: Richard Jenkins
Leslie Thompkins: Helen Mirren
Alfred: Michael Gambon

Here's mine for The Batman

Batman/Bruce Wayne: Josh Henderson
Alfred Pennyworth: Geoffrey Rush
Commisoner James Gordon : Jude Law
Joker : Simon Baker
Riddler : Bendict Cumberbatch
Detective Ellen Yin: Michelle Krusiec
Dr. Hugo Strange: Micheal Emerson

Adrien Brody - though I can't decide which villain he'd suit the most. I really rate him as an actor and there is no doubt his facial features really suit the classic Joker look:

But I think he could even pull off Scarecrow too. That is if that character returned, which may be unlikely.

I can't wrap my head around Rickman being Alfred. He is great, so I am sure he'd nail the part, but I just can't see it lol.

Joseph Fiennes would be my Hugo Strange. Cranston would fit the bill perfectly as Commish Gordon. Rupert Thorne would be played by Brendan Gleeson

Jude Law comes off as rather young for Gordon. I can see him as Riddler though.

Yeahhh definitely a big no from me to Law as Gordon. I liked the Daniel Craig as Gordon idea though.

Geoffrey Rush and Michael Gambon (Dumbeldore) are both excellent Alfred choices too

I'm seeing Benedict Cumberbatch's name all over the place, I think he'd be best suited for Brainiac, not a Batman villain.

For a reboot we definitely need Harvey Bullock and Renee Montoya, maybe Crispus Allen too

This is fancasting right? I fully realize this would never happen

Jon Hamm as Bruce Wayne/Batman

Bryan Cranston as Jim Gordon

Ron Perlman as Detective Harvey Bullock

Michael Gambon as Alfred Pennyworth

John Malkovich as Doctor Hugo Strange

This story would tell the origin of Dick Grayson

I think Ben Whishaw would make a good Joker, Riddler, or even Scarecrow.

@Changeling: ah man that would be perfect for a Batman TV show (which would also probably never happen).

I'm so on board with the TV show idea but itd have to have higher production values than any other show around right now imo.

A tv show that could show Dick's transition into Nightwing, Jason Todd being "killed" by Joker, Tim Drake, Barbara becoming Oracle.

Honestly I'm more of a Batfamily fan than just Batman

Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, and Barbara Gordon are some of my favorite characters they deserve to be on film.

Along with Killer Croc, Freeze and Hugo Strange

Wow a tv show that does a proper Two Face story (without Rachel duh) following The Long Halloween, with a proper Joker, and Scarecrow with their comic looks could be soooo good. And a Ra's Al Ghul that dresses like he does in the comics and has a Lazarus pit and Ubu.
