Claflin didn't strike me as a great actor in that last POTC movie, but you could easily just blame for the movie for that one

Claflin has a very earnest face. I'm not against him playing a superhero (haven't seen enough of him to judge his acting skills yet, based on PotC and SWATH), but Batman wouldn't be the right fit, imo.

I hope not. Finnick strikes me as rugged, self-assured, cocky... Admittedly, I haven't seen any of this Claflin's work, but his pictures strike me as too soft-featured and - as flickchick said - earnest.
