I don't know about Batman, I would like to see someone whose more unknown or not as in the main stream yet. I do know that I'd love Matt Damon to play James Gordon though.

Personally though, I prefer McGregor over Damon for Gordon.

Most actors look a lot younger than you'd realize.

Leo DiCaprio is 37.

JGL is 31.

Ryan Reynolds is 35.

Etc.

Not the biggest Damon fan and i dont see him as Gordon. Ill always go the predictable route and choose Cranston. Im probably setting myself up for dissapointment cuz i cant think of anyone else that i would want for the role. Hopefully they surprise me.

I still think Karl Urban would be the best choice for Batman in the reboot/JL movie. He's still young, but old enough, he's got the talent, the grittiness, and his Dredd voice would work brilliantly for Batman with some slight tweaks.

We see Fassbender as Magneto...He's suggested for Batman.
We see Kinnaman as Robocop...He's suggested for Batman.
We see Urban as Judge Dredd...He's suggested for Batman.

Have we no originality anymore?

Dicaprio looks in his mid to late 20's.
JGL looks 18
Reynolds looks around 25!

I think a lot of this has to do with us watching a lot of these actors "grow up," so even though we are getting older and older, we forget that these actors are aging, as well. Like I still think of Will Smith being much younger than he is.

Urban has been thrown around the boards for differnt roles for a while. After Lord of the Rings, his name was thrown around a lot for Thor. I am pretty sure I have seen him suggested for Batman before Dredd, but I could be wrong.

Yeah. But I just want the one actor to be identified for the one role.

I got sick of seeing Reynolds jumping from role to role.

I just want to see Fassbender remain Magneto. And to see Urban remain as Dredd.

I see where Rodrigo is coming from, but this is true. Urban's name has been thrown around for Batman way before Dredd.

If Urban had not have been Dredd, then I would absolutely be behind him.

But we all recognize he acts and sounds similar to Bale's Batman. So most of the GA would probably just be seeing Judge Dredd as Batman.

I really don't want that. But that is just me.

Yeah, I agree with the Cranston ideas. I know it's 'obvious' and everything, but that's only because he's so perfect for it.

To be fair, some of us were suggesting Fassbender for roles like Batman and Green Arrow well before he was even cast as Magneto. I've always thought he was perfect for either of those roles, and while I've dropped the notion that we could get a serious GA movie anytime soon (which was the big one I was pushing him for at the time since we already had a great Batman), I won't give up on the notion of him for Bats in the reboot until the part gets cast. Because ever since I was aware of his existence, I've thought him perfect for it.

Fair enough. I can see where the confusion would come from, if Fassbender was both Magneto AND Batman. And then eventually James Bond. I wouldnt mind at all, but i can see how it's best for the guy playing Batman, to just be...Batman.
