I could definitely see that.

It still kinda annoys me that Keith Szarabajka wasn't Bullock in TDK.

What annoyed me the most was that Nolan turned Arnold Flass into Harvey Bullock in Batman Begins. Flass is supposed to be ex Green Beret and clean cut and squared away looking, not a slob.

I always assumed someone like Clancy Brown would be more akin to the Flass we had seen in Batman: Year One so I was surprised to learn when Mark Boone Junior was cast as Flass in Begins as I initially saw his casting and thought 'Bullock'. Equally, William Hootkins could've been Bullock in B89, as opposed to Lt Eckhardt.

They're good choices for those characters. I just don't see them existing in the movies since I believe we're getting prequels with a younger Grayson. And I don't think we're getting Freeze for decades to come.

It's been almost 20 years since Arnold. I think we're fine for a new Freeze.

We should be and I'm down, but I don't think that's Reeves style or what he wants to do with his trilogy. I'm expecting something grittier like freak gangsters, Riddler etc.

I guess it depends on if the movies are prequels or not. I personally like Jeremy Irons as Alfred but don't think has made that much of an impression to not be recast, JK Simmons as Gordon is really good casting though. Part of me just hopes they keep the new Batman's potentially starring Jake in the same time period as the current movies and just not say anything. After one movie people hopefully love most won't care about the continuity error anyway.

Jackson is really good on The Affair and maybe there's a superhero role out there for him but I've never been able to see why he gets suggested for Batman periodically. I think he auditioned for Batman Begins, maybe? I'm not sure.

I could see him maybe as Jim Gordon.

I always thought that Modine in The Dark Knight Rises should have been Flass and Flass in the first movie should have been Bullock. Instead they kinda combined both cHaracters.
