I think Aaron Taylor Johnson could be a great Joker

A story about Batman, Joker, and Zod, as read by Lois Lane.

But seriously, I think Aaron Taylor Johnson could be a great Joker

That film was phenomenal and ATJ was bat**** crazy :funny: Yeah I think he can work as Joker too. Too bad we have Leto now and I still wanna see him under better direction.

He's great in Nocturnal Animals. Terrible in Godzilla and Avengers. He needs to be pushed with a character he can actually sink his teeth into, and a good director.

He's always got this smarmy "too cool for school" look to him... makes me want to punch him :funny:

And he is a decent actor, but I disagree about him making a good Joker. Good if I want to fall asleep, though :p

You have some weird ass opinions on acting and casting lmao. His character called for something specific, which included being a creepy, irritating, disgusting hick. And he nailed that in spades. That's a good performance.

It’s a pale imitation of Matthew McConaughey in Texas Chainsaw 4 which was just a pale imitation of Viggo in Texas Chainsaw 3.

Who cares though? He has a job to do, and if we hated him in the movie, wanted to strangle him and were totally weirded out by the dude then that means he did his job and did it well.

He did nothing for me. It was just an actor putting on facial hair and a southern accent. There's no authenticity in his performance.

Umm it's a story being told like a dark fairytale from the mind of Jake's character. It's supposed to be dramatic.

Anyways, he's not right for the Joker lol.

Don't make me come over there and hug you until you like it!

If we're basing it entirely on his Nocturnal Animals, then pass. I'd prefer we move away from that kind of Joker. Bring back the Joker that's more jovial and actually clown-like, and is all the creepier because of that. The Cesar Romero school of Jokering.

I agree with all this, but one solid performance doesn't earn you a shot at playing the most iconic super villain of all time. He needs to build up his repertoire first by demonstrating consistency in the aforementioned regard.

Totally agree.

Can't get Walton Goggins out of my head, for Joker.

Do you guys prefer a good looking Joker like Leto or a totally deranged/deformed-looking Joker?
