So I keep reading about how insane the batmobile chase is. Would you guys say it's in par with the chase from TDK? I love me a good car chase!
Saw a clip. Way to dark to make out his face for me but I see the movie Thursday so should get a better look.
I actually liked it because it didn’t seem like he was putting on an act with an accent or anything.
I actually liked the laugh. He sounded genuinely crazy. He will have like two years to perfect it but it’s great.
I think I may be in the minority of online fans but I never can get enough of the joker against Batman and I don’t think general fans either. I just think it’s way more interesting than fighting Calendar Man or the Court of Owls.
Man, my favourite part of the movie. It's great, the introduction of the car is on par with the first time you see it on 89 and BB. You know, THAT moment. So I keep reading about how insane the batmobile chase is. Would you guys say it's in par with the chase from TDK? I love me a good car chase!
No amount of prosthetics are going to allow an actor to smile like comic Joker.
Also we dont actually know if it was prosthetics in this scene, or if it was whether prosthetics will work beyond this scene in a heavy role. I know its the common thing to balk at cgi at all, but that is so last decade. Mocap has come far, and cgi enhancements on top of actor's faces and merged with prosthetics is so common its practically the norm for any abnormal characters. With Reeves experience with mocap and cgi I think he could do far more and do it far better than with prosthetics alone.
And there is no getting around the fact that prosthetics add mass to an actor's face. Without cgi to shave that down Joker is going to end up with a pointy chin and full cheeks. Not what you want with a comic accurate Joker design.
I'm so damn excited. A little over 24 hours to go!Man, my favourite part of the movie. It's great, the introduction of the car is on par with the first time you see it on 89 and BB. You know, THAT moment.
You're gonna enjoy it. The atmosphere of this movie is something else.I'm so damn excited. A little over 24 hours to go!
The closest I've ever seen to comic book Joker in look without prosthetics, just make up, is the cosplay by Anthony Misiano. That is due to having the right face to work with, strategic shading with the make up, and being a realistic look of what the classic Joker features would be in real life. No one has a face like the more exaggerated versions of Joker, but people do have long thin faces with pointy chins and aquiline nose etc, which you can exaggerate with make up. Still not going to look precisely like comic book Joker, except for the more realistic proportioned versions.
Yep. Then he says, "But I suppose there are worse things to be," or something to that effect.
Matt will be a genius if he finds a way to bring a grounded Mr. Freeze in the next movie, watched the movie last night, LOVED IT, but there is no way i can see a fantastical villain in the next movies, and this is not a criticism, im in love with this grounded world that Matt has created, cant wait to see more of it
Sure, and im not worried about that, there are tons of realistic villains he could use in the sequels, Hush, Hugo Strange, Ventriloquist, Deacon Blackfire, and lets not forget the classic ones like Joker and HarveyI think he was just stating that it's possible and would be a fun challenge to adapt those characters in his world, but in the same quote he reiterates that this universe he has built isn't fantastical. I really don't think it's likely we get characters like Freeze, Ivy, Scarecrow. But It's Matt Reeves were talking about here. He made everyone emotional and cry over movies about apes. He could do anything in these films as far as I'm concerned

I slept on it.I see that the long rumoured cameo was discussed a few post ago so...unpopular opinion I guess :
That scene between Dano and Keoghan just didn't worked for me. We discussed that particular moment with friends after the screening and it was unanimous: it just felt to us like it came from another movie. The both of them laughing together was just... a bit too close to remind of a very infamous "ding ding ding"... And it pains me to say this ! ahah
But more seriously, I won't condemn the performance yet. It was so brief it wouldn't be fair.
And of course, I totally respect people enjoying that little teasing !
oh man!!It's better.
