The Batman Spoiler Discussion Thread

Boogeyman or just a weirdo showman, I don't really care: just don't make Joker a nihilistic/desperate terrorist again.

Dano's Riddler seems to have similarities with Ledger (but with an idealistic and backstory behind his action), so I think and hope Reeves would go on a different route.

However, no problem in making him scary, but I would see BTAS Joker in live action... Or, to be more specifical: how the character is in Mask of the Phantasm/Return of the Joker.
Scary, disturbing, cruel, but full of black humour.

Yep. That's a wrap, folks.

On that subject, someone allegedly saw images of Keoghan's Joker and described him as wearing a white and orange boiler suit. Does anyone recall if this leak came before or after the official trailer was released? Because Riddler's wearing a white and orange boiler suit in Arkham. So either that leaker is legit or he was piggy-backing off the trailer.

Gonna go against the majority here and say that I actually do want Joker to be a nihhlistic terrorist who wants people to see that life is a meanless joke.

I've always felt that interpretation of Joker is the most compelling.

However the key thing for me is that Joker should be hiding that aspect with his showman black humor and insanity.

It's not something that should be obvious it's something that only Batman and the rogue's should really get.

That's how I've always seen Joker.

It's should he hinted at subtle not something that Joker himself should be making clear to everyone he talks to.

Basically the nihhlistic side should be hard to see and something Batman would discover because Joker wants him to see his philosophy.

The boogyeman and showman aspect should be what's seen by the majority of Gotham City and most obviously reflected in Jokers behavior.

They all compliment each other.

No need to only have one aspect.

Just don't make him sympathic.

...still love this and truly can't fathom its in a Batman film. If you told my middle school dyed blond hair, blasting the With The Lights Out box set, reading Detective Comics self... he would have never believed you.
