The Dark Knight The Batmobile Thread, Only Better.

Wanna, maybe, I dunno, calm down? Just a tad? No need to be calling each other idiots.

I still think a sleeck sports car would look better its a complete contradiction for BB Batman to be a master of the silent takedown to drive a large tank that bursts through barriers and <shudder> jumps across rooftops.

I am skeptical if batman's bike is going to actually be called the "Batpod" by name in the movie. I know that is what it is called by the writers and such- but I have trouble seeing Bruce or Lucius calling it a Batpod.

case in point- the Tumbler was never actually called the Batmobile by anyone in the movie- it was always the Tumbler.

Nice thinking though that can lead to it possibly being called "Pod". Which is even more ludicrous. I guess we'll see. I do hope it's known as something else but I'm not that obsessed over the issue.

i proposed "Scrambler" a while back (just to keep it in the same "-mbler" family as the Tumbler) but not many people on here liked it..too many thoughts about eggs apparently..

LOL.

Yes we can see its you since your name is at the left side of your post. Stop doing that!

No.

It's an old habit from another forum. Plus not every place identifies me.

Pillow Fight!!!!!

I like the way you think. :)

Dont be an ass man if you can help it the discussion is about the tumbler many people have mentioned BTAS and B89 mobiles in this thread, and you jump down my throat? :whatever: why cant some people just grow up and stop the direct insults when they dont agree with something?.

idiot.
Irony at its best. Damien, I've been reading your crap for years, and you never cease to amaze me by how insulting you can be with your "Burton's version is the best" comments. All you do is troll the Begins and TDK forums and insult everybody for liking a different version other then Burton's.

The funny thing is, I love the Burtonmobile, and I think its still badass looking. There is NO disagreement there. So, I don't really get where you think I'm disagreeing with you? I just think your an ass.

The way the top of the tumbler opens is better than the previous batmobiles:o

Hey what about the flying batmobile? Should that replace the Tumbler in a sequel while Bruce gets a new batmobile??

Yeah. A flying batmobile! And they should call it...get this... the BatPlane! Hurry copyright it! That's never been done!

Wow that thing sucked! It was a single seater with no top. It had bat-tread, took the neon engine way too far, and had 6 jet nozzles instead of one big one. wtf!

yea i think a 9-year-old boy designed it

Considering the fact that Alfred calls it the Batpod in the new trailer, it seems that issue has been cleared.

The producers of Back to the Future will sue for breach of copy right.

A flying batmobile indicates a vehicle that can traverse the land and air. :o

But yes, it's been done. In Batman Beyond.

Good point Citadel, many assume that the tumbler was the Batmobile. If the tumbler gets destroyed it gives him the opportunity to build a Batmobile in BB3

Below are some templates that I think could work for the Batmobile :word:

I like this Batmobile. I dont think there should be a new one.

It's just like the suit. It should have at least an upgrade or two.

The Tumbler although it is a totally badass vehicle it was not the bat mobile.

I have been reading Batman for 20 years the Batmobile is supposed to be sleek.

The Tumbler works it is way better than the 4-Ever and Batman and Robin Batmobile. The Tumbler is not the Batmobile.

Just because its not like in teh comics (i.e a sportscar) doesnt mean its not the batmobile.
And stop with the tumbler thing. They gave it a military vehicle origin so that they could justify its existence somehow. They didnt call it the batmobile, not because it wasnt one (its a black armoured car with gadgets that batman stores in his cave => batmobile) but because they didnt want to start using the bat-prefix.

Guys like you probably made them have alfred say "will you be wanting the BATPOD sir?" so that you get convinced that it might not be a black Ducatti, but its the batcycle.

Whatever. You dont like the tumbler? Fine. It still is the batmobile for 2 the duration of two movies. Its just that a black Aston Martin with gadgets will never be able to do the stunts it did in BB.

And if you ask me, it looks great here:
extended version of an old one.........

Also, oh hey, the Joker is supposed to be slim, the batmobile isnt supposed to be a convertible, and the joker is supposed to be permawhite. So heath's joker isnt the joker. He is an impostor!

I love how Bolland uses the old Kane's batmobile design in TKJ. I hope we see that car someday onscreen (maybe in a "period Batman" in 20 years, with a Joker closer to Conrad in look:woot:).

As far as the OP stated, I've yet to see any conclusive evidence of the Tumbler being destroyed, or even damaged. When the first shots of the Tumbler came out I hated it "NO WAY IS THAT THE BATMOBILE!!!", then I remembered "oh yeah, this is Batman in year 1, he's not gonna have everything we've expected him to have aka a sleek Batmobile." I loved the origin of the Tumbler, its the only good part of a failed project thats now sitting and collecting dust. Bruce had enough to do just with creating his suit, let alone design and create a unique automobile, so take one thats finished and use it. I think the Batpod is just gonna be Batman's new favorite because of its size, he can escape easier with it, and it won't draw as much attention as the Tumbler did.

If you look behind the Batsuit, you'll see 2 tires that resemble those on the Tumbler, but appear the be smaller, like the ones on the Batpod, I bet Bruce was designing and building the Tumbler himself. At first I thought they were spares for the Tumbler, but they look alot thinner, and are probably the Batpod's tires.
