The Batmobile Thread

Yup, the rear wheel drive wouldn't work in the snow, I'm in that crap every year.

And I doubt you know more than anybody else, Batman related or not, LOL.....

remember in Inception Nolan used that Hummer with the 2 pairs of tank treads to manuever in the snow??? maybe something like that... He thinks of ALL THE COOL TOYS!!!

i probly do, but nothing related to the batman

about the traction... i would guess given the theoretical distribution of weight, that thing would stick to the road pretty well... although it did appear to be rearwheel drive, and having owned a thunderbird in new england, it can be tricky

With those huge, knobby all-terrain wheels in back and likely the engine back there as well, it could theoretically do fine in the snow being rear-wheel drive. Those fat front wheels may not give it the best steering...but if you put skis on the front of something, it could be something akin to a snowmobile.

VW Beetles would actually do well in the snow because it had thin tires that would cut through and the engine over the rear wheels. Or perhaps the motors that helped propel the Batpod would come into play and make the Tumbler more of an all-wheel drive vehicle.

helicarrier! = awesome

but since this is batmobile board

take that T(ank)umbler
Nice manip!

Cool, thanks!!

Maybe a quick sketch of what you got a glimpse of.......appreciate it!

Since they're covering the streets with snow, maybe it's a modified version of the Tumbler for the snow being that you saw no wheels and just intakes with circular fans behind them?
I dunno, could be. I am a horrible artist, wouldn't do it any justice at all. Hope to have actual video footage of it by the end of this weekend at the latest.

Id rather batman drive something like this.
Less destructive than the tumbler.

Batman wants to protect gotham and it's people.
But he has no problem blowing up their cars and parts of buildings if they're in his way.:funny:
I mean...I'm sure he would go after and stop somebody else if they were blowing **** up in a parking garage...wouldn't he?

certainly, he wrecked abunch of stuff in that chase with his drugged semi-sweetheart. Even blew up a few cop cars.
pretty sure this would just out run and out manuever them.
and that's not saying it shouldn't have some offensive capabilities

and sorry to whoever made this

Sorry if I'm being lazy and didn't read all your posts HR, but what design did you have in mind?

Well I was thinking about the rumours of a modified Tumble and if the chase takes place in the snow perhaps the wheel turn inwards and giant skis come out to turn the Tumbler into a sort of tanksled.

i just cant understand why anyone would think the t(ank)umbler would have trouble in the snow???

it has 4 36'' tires in the back, is heavy like whoa, and a turbine! there's just no logical reason in wouldn't beable to ride in upto atleast 8inches of snow.

i think this batsled would make a neat toy, but doesn't make a whole mess of scense

New pictures of 3 camo Tumblers!

Pictures were posted by Pagan in the photo thread. Credit for actual pictures goes to Anthony Swann (FB TDKR Community)

Whoa. Seems like there is gonna be ALOT of Tumbler action. Me like!

and those look much different from the original Tumbler (besides the color obviously). maybe its because of the filming angles? or are they actually going to be new, updated military issued Tumblers??

A chase scene involving multiple Tumblers??? I LIKEY!!!!!!!

Rear wheel drive works fine in the snow if you have the engine in the rear too. I used to have a VW beetle and they did okay.

I don't think they are gonna have multiple tumblers. They'll do like many car films and have a couple mules that can drive decently, a couple stunt ones, maybe a model with a hydrolic so it'll "jump" and maybe another with a camera setup inside the cockpit or even on the back. Maybe that's the difference in them people are seeing.

I remember like the Dukes Of Hazard using 3 cars per episode for different angles and capabilities.

well, i can hope!!! :woot:

it would be sweet to see a Tumbler chase scene tho. :wow:

The rear of the Tumbler in front looks different. Also, one of the Tumblers (maybe the same one) is partially black whereas the others are all camo. Hmm...
