No one addressed my concern:

It irked me that they didn't further develop Matt's and Julia's characters because after her comment it seemed that they use to be in love or something and then he just sends her off and that is that??? Was there more in the book?

This was another thig that dissapointed me as well, i expected more after she said it was hard for her with him.

Once again, you have to resort to mud-slinging to put the cherry on your unintelligent argument.

How can you NOT see the similarities between WOLVERINE and BOURNE?!

-Both were in special ops (complete with dog tags) before being a subject in an experiment run by an underground government agency

-Both have memories erased

-Both seem to have super-healing abilities (at least thats the excuse I'm using for Bourne being that car bombs and car crashes dont seem to effect him).

-In the movie world, both seem to have an old man who "beats around the bush" of who he really is and what he went through (x2: stryker, BU: the old man whose name isnt worth remembering because he was only in the movie for maybe 20 min. whose scenes were mostly at the end in "the room" where Webb became Bourne).

This was something i thought as well, Bourne is basically a Wolverine clone in BU, right down to the fact that he volunteered for the program. If people cant see the similarities between the two stories, they simply arent looking hard enough.

Was i the only one who was slightly dissapointed in this movie? Dont get me wrong, it is a good movie, with some GREAT parts, both action and character. But when it ended i just had a feeling of 'is that it?'

The big revelation at the end 'that he volunteered' for the project, was something that was completely obvious during the other 2 movies IMO. Plus, i thought the car chase was the worst of the trilogy.

Actually the big revelation was finding out who was behind it and making sure they would pay for it. Following his actions the guilty parties of Treadstone and Blackbriar were being put away.

Maybe i need to watch it again, i dont know, but IMO, Doug Liman's Bourne Identity was definately superior to both of Greengrass' efforts.

I think that's arguable. Other than Liman, all three movies had basically the same creative visions attached to it otherwise. Including writer, Tony Gilroy.

We also know very little about Treadstone also, how they were able to recruit non-americans, etc, they said this film was all about answers and we barely got any IMO, thats what dissapointed me.

Watched Identity and Supremecy again in the last few days, and some things in Ultimatumk just didnt match up, like Nikki's storyline or her sudden brave streak. Plus a few others, i'll be watching BU again tomorrow i think because i may have missed one or two things.

Ultimatum is an awesome movie. 3 great flicks form the series. My only gripe with supremacy and ultimatum is the, annoying as hell shaky cam....argh!

Look at the situations in Identity and Supremacy. As I recall it was Ward Abbott who wanted the snipers to take him out, not Nikki or Landy. Landy who was head of the operation was specifically trying to apprehend him for questioning. Abbott wanted him killed to protect himself.

Keeping SOME mystique to the character is fine, but leaving practically EVERYTHING about him not known is a mistake IMO. After finding out his real name in BS, i'm sorry i just expected more.

The ending to the movie was the most dissapointing aspect to it IMO. We were told he volunteered for the project, which is meant to be some big revelation, but IMO, it has been obvious since BI. And if corrupt government officials is part of the revelation, then thats poor, as we have seen this in BOTH part 1 and 2.

So that's another point you can't really begrudge the movie over.

Once again, he already changed his tune about the franchise after the first one. He can do so again. Typical or not.

In numerous interviews he's stated he is open to a 4th movie provided that Greengrass directs, there's a good script, etc., etc.

Easily the best Summer movie so far for me.

My review.
Don't the stratagem of his opponents keep getting better and better. How do you beat a system of high-tech surveillance, multiple assailants and a relentless thirst for innocent blood. An action hero without powers or fanciful gadgetry, Jason Bourne fights back and outwits the authorities yet again with extraordinary courage, smart counter-tricks and the single-minded determination to quit running, find the ultimate truth about his past and end it all by confronting his "creators". The whole premise of how a poor nobody with nothing but his name ended up screwing up a whole network of top government agents with loads of toys and power at their disposal cranks me up. You got to love Joan Allen in this and how she played the only insider with the heart & brain. Don't you like the look on her face when Bourne announced that he's not only in New York City but right across the street -- which also happens to be the last shot of the last movie. Not surprisingly, the Bourne Ultimatum has some of the best action sequences all summer, including the gradifying scene of Bourne breaking into the main CIA office in New York City to retrieve documents pertaining to his story while sending them on a wild goose chase. What a great way to conclude the Jason Bourne trilogy than to legendize the man himself with yet another truly great action movie!

Well i think its definate she wanted them to kill if he tried to kill her or something else went wrong. This is obvious.

Just got back from a late screening. Pretty damned good. Not a great movie but the trilogy has been very consistent. The pace was unrelenting though, which I enjoyed. My only qualms would be the final revelation on how he came to be Jason Bourne and the frenetic camera work. Too close, too fast and too shaky. I get the idea but Greengrass needed to slow it down a tad and pan out for the audience. Overall, top movie. It delivered on all levels of expectation for me.

The movie's still having $10 million+ weekends in it's 5th weekend of release. Pretty damn good. It's just shy of $200 million right now. Each sequel doing better than the last is not something a lot of sequels or franchises can do.

Balls to the Bourne imitators like The Shooter. I'd say $250 million is even possible with it being labor day weekend and the incredible lack of dropoffs over the weekend this movie has had.

I think they dramatically toned down the shaky cam with very positive results. Bottom line, the best movie out of the series and one of the best action flicks all year. The real question is who wins in a three way, Bond, Bourne, or Batman. Id prolly have to say.....Batman kicks everyones ass, long live the dark knight.

why do you need to know that? she has been targeted for assasianation..if thats not enough to get your ass in gear and try to evade it(ie runaway,drop off all communication grids),then i don't know what to tell ya.


i do agree that if they were to keep her around for all three films give her a more concrete storyline and character development.
