MARVEL RPG SEASON VII Application[/CENTER]
Screen Name:Spider-Man9x17
Character you would like to play: Bucky Barnes
Powers: Having trained under Steve Rogers, Bucky is a master of hand-to-hand combat and martial arts, as well as being skilled in the use of military weapons such as firearms and grenades, as well as throwing knives on occasion and was a gifted advance scout. His time as the Winter Soldier helped to further hone his skills, making him the equal to his predecessor in combat skills and becoming an expert assassin and spy. Barnes's left arm is also cybernetic with superhuman strength and enhanced reaction time. The arm can also function when not in contact with Barnes (presumably by cybernetic brain implants) and can discharge bolts of electrical energy from its palm. The arm can also discharge an EMP causing electronics to either shutdown or become useless.
Three reasons why you have chosen that character:
1. While at first questioning the wiseness of returning Bucky to life, he has quickly grown on me and become one of my favorite characters in the Marvel Universe
2. It will give me a chance, if only for a short time, to play someone who isn’t necessarily walking the straight and narrow.
3. I’ve toyed with the idea of playing him since early on in the game, and finally have been able to find the perfect story to fit him into. I also just seemed to hit an abrupt wall with Daredevil.

There is no morality to what you do; no more missions for the betterment of Mother Russia, and certainly no more upholding the American Dream. You are nothing more than a weapon.”
Bucky Barnes stared at himself in the broken old mirror hanging on the wall of the slum he was currently holed up in; it’s shattered glass reflecting his shattered soul perfectly. It was the only perfect thing that had entered in life since…when? When was the last time anything had been perfect. When was the last time anything he did mattered, beyond being the secret weapon of the losing side of the Cold War. And now here he stood, his life, the better part of it anyway, a lie. Even the face that stared back at him, a face no more than 30, was a lie.
He covered his face, his cold, mechanical hand tingling the bare flesh of his left cheek.
An image instantly flashed into his mind.
“Damn you, Steve. Godd*&^ you. I thought you were my brother. But you’re the reason I’m living this misery. If you really wanted to save me, you would have killed me.”
Bucky turned away from his scornful gaze and opened the envelope containing his next assignment.
“Whatever I do from now on, the blood is on your hands.”

Powers: Namor has an amphibious physiology, meaning he can breathe underwater and his body is strong enough to survive the water pressure of even the deepest depths of the ocean. He also has superhuman strength, speed, durability and longevity. The wings on his ankles allow him to fly, and Namor also has limited telepathic and bioelectric abilities.
Three reasons why you have chosen that character:
1. I want in on this Avengers arc, and have wanted in on it for a while now. Namor, being an former Avenger and King of Atlantis, gives me the perfect oppurtunity to join in Keyser and bkhedr's story.
2. I have yet to portray a character of the homo-mermanus classification for a prolonged period. I hope to rectify that by playing Namor, who I think I'll play better than Aquaman or the like.
3. I LYKEZ FISH!!!

"Actually..." The Prince of Atlantis interrupted as he exited through the Palace doors.
"...I have no intentions of 'Throwing my friends out' whatsoever." He finished as his stoic gaze began to eye the group of Avengers before him. Some old, some new. But it did not matter, for the God of Thunder was among them; one of Namor's oldest and closest of allies.
"At ease, Althor. I can handle this situation from here..." Namor ordered as he put his hand on his loyal servant's shoulder and turned to the Iron Avenger, giving him his trademark glare.
"Stark..." he hissed at Iron Man before truning back to his old friend.
"Thor, my old friend! It is good to see you. What matter of importance brings you here to my kingdom of Atlantis?"

Sorry for the hold-up, Spider-Man 9X17. I've tried starting my catch-up today, with the last two remaining characters I need to catch up on being currently the most important - Green Lantern and Captain America. I hope to get something up tomorrow but, as I explain in the DC OOC thread, real-life delays may hold me up until Tuesday.
