Screen Name: Gallagher
Character you would like to play: Scott Summers/Cyclops
Powers: Eye-beams man! Red ones!
Three reasons why you have chosen that character:
1. We need more X-Men, not to mention players.
2. I miss playing Cyke from way back when.
3. Been reading through the first 4 volumes of Astonishing again. Damn I love Cyclops.
Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar explaining what you think you can bring to this RPG in particular:
The start of an X-Team, seriously where the hell did these guys go? Come on people pick up more Muties!
Sample (Out of Continuity, last Cyke post before I left, won't be continuing on from this point):
"Well that was a waste of time." Emma pitched in as the two
X-Men
travelled along the darkend roads in their truck, starting the long drive back to a secret warehouse on the docks that the X-Men had found themselves hold up in.
"We had to try Emma, there was always the chance he knew something about it." Scott answered, not taking his eyes off the road ahead.
"Where did you go last night?"
Emma looked taken aback by Scott's sudden line of questioning.
"What do you mean dear?"
"I felt you leave the bed, you didn't come home for hours." Scott said, his face practically made of stone, his expression serious.
"I... I went looking for answers. Just like we did today."
"What are you doing in there Emma?" Scott asked, tapping his temple lightly.
"I can feel you, you know? After all these years did you not think I'd be able to pick up on when you were affecting me?"
"I just want to know where this sudden distrust has come from Scott." The telepath professed.
"I do trust you Emma, I trust you with my life." Cyclops replied, his face not changing.
"Good... You've no reason to doubt me my love."
"Have I not?"
"What is this?" Emma said, turning in her seat to face her lover a look of confusion and hurt on her face.
"Why are you suddenly so..."
"You dissapear into the night, you dont come home, you're distant, you enter my head without permission... I didn't want to let those kids go did I Emma?"
The white queen was silent for a moment before answering.
"No... I influenced your decision... I had to do something drastic otherwise more children would be dead. You needed to be a stronger leader Scott, I was only trying to help you realise this, you're wavering, your confidence in yourself is failing."
Scott put on the brakes and the truck grounded to a sudden halt.
"How do I know this isn't your doing Emma? How do I know my sudden lack of confidence isn't down to you?"
"Don't flatter yourself Scott, your failure as a leader is your doing, not mine."
"So you admit? You think I'm a failure, maybe you should lead the team?"
"I wasn't suggesting that."
"Then what are you suggesting Emma!?" Scott yelled finally snapping his anger getting the better of him.
"You've sat there, undermining me, exploiting the one weakness you know I have..."
"Ha! One weakness? Scott my dear your mind is a maze of personality defects that I can't even comprehend. Confidence issues are only scratching the surface."
"What would you have me do!?" Summers cried, his whole body shaking.
"Let go."
"What?"
"Those children died because you weren't strong enough, let me help you, let me show you the way." She said softly, reaching a hand out, stroking his hair.
"I can make you a better leader, I can make it so that you can save everyone. Thats all you've ever wanted to do isn't it? Save everyone?"
She moved her other hand, placing them on either side of his head.
"Let us make you a better, stronger leader."
"Us?" Scott said, feebily.
"Only the strong will survive Scott..."
