Comics The Build to ASM #700

There's no reboots happening at Marvel, only relaunches. It's amazing (pardon the pun) how many people confuse the two.

Hrm. Well, that does make me feel a bit better. Still, I don't know why they felt the necessity to change his costume... oh well.
But I bought 72 issues at issue 667... what will happen to the rest? Is it just credit toward the relaunch?

Who the hell knows? Marvel acts like they keep track of this stuff but they're wrong half the time. Somebody created a thread in the Marvel forums of actual book numbers and compared to what Marvel claims is right there's a ton of discrepancies.

Not trying to be obnoxious, just posting what I hear. No laws against that.:whatever:

wait..spidey is getting a costume change? again?

Yes, but the only thing we know for sure is that his arm stripes are gone. Other than that, we know nothing about his costume changing.

I get the impression Quesada, when it comes to his pencils, only puts effort into drawing Wolverine.

Well, we know that Quesada digs Wolverine... we just don't know why he is bad at everything else. Even bad at Wolverine, too, but WHY? XD

Looking at this image closely yeah it def looks like a new costume

no matter HOW much Quesadilla or anyone else wants it, Spidey's classic costume will never ever EVER be replaced...

oh, a new look might be around for a bit, but don't kid yourselves, sooner or later, the one true and original costume will ALWAYS remain in the long run, while any replacements will ALWAYS fall to the side of the gutter...

black costume being the exception...

I know it's not realistic, I'm just saying that personally I'd be all for it.

It's going to turn out Doc Ock is somehow responsible for Spider-Man's origin. That's my theory in a nutshell. Probably by giving him powers. Maybe using him as a test subject for himself. Maybe he even arranges Uncle Ben's death, or perhaps that's the event that Doc Ock didn't plan for.

Or here's a real groan inducer. Maybe Doc Ock is his real father.

sounds like Chapter One Version 2... :whatever:

Iit's possible they will to try something like Chapter 1, saying something like it was all a scheme from the beginning. That would allow for a fresh start in Marvel NOW and for the new generation of readers.

Please god no!

OMG... OMG... OMG...

Unused Ditko Spider-Man art from AF#15 to be used as a variant for ASM #700...

Wow... :word:

:yay:

Aloha,
These will be variants that everyone will want. Let's see what type of print run they get.Marvel has purposely reduced print runs on their comics. The lower the run the greater the potential value of the comic.Who cares. It's #700 with Ditko original art. You can't ask for anything better. I strongly suggest that folks start talking to their comic book store about getting a deal on these variants. I wouldn't think about eBay- they are going to go with WHATEVER THE MARKET WILL BEAR!
A good part of the fun for me in being a comic book collector is finding the lowest price for a valuable comic.

Aloha,
So did anyone read #696? Things are heating up. I like the idea that Peter is looked upon as Spidey's Tech support. Two Hobgoblins in one story. You just know these guys are going to eventually kill each other or die trying.

Or, if you want to guarantee you get the variant, go to www.midtowncomics.com. They usually have the specific variants up for preorder two weeks before the issue releases. It's how I got my Gwen and Venom variants for #692. :)
