Bumblebee The Bumblebee Spin-Off Official Thread

I know the other two Cons are ground vehicles but it would be cool to have the Seeker trio on screen. Starscream, Skywarp and Thundercracker.

The general consensus is that Hasbro is waiting to see how Bumblebee does. There's a lot of debate about whether Bumblebee is even part of the same continuity (personally, I think it is). I'd like to see a sequel to TLK that wraps up the whole Unicron storyline, but I'm not sure it will happen. If Bee is successful, they might just want to do more small-scale movies.
I actually hope it isn't. This solo Bee outing could be the perfect reboot that the TF Universe needs - if it does well, I expect (and hope) a entirely new continuity to follow.

Bay can stay the hell away from any of it!

Fans have been wishing for that since ROTF :o

Have to add my hopes that it could be the start of a reboot for the entire series.

One of the Decepticons is Shatter, who takes the form of a cherry-red Plymouth Satellite. She will be voiced by Angela Bassett.

Dropkick, whose vehicle form is a blue AMC Javelin, will be voiced by Justin Theroux
.

“The two main villains are Decepticon muscle cars,” says director Travis Knight (Kubo and the Two Strings).

There is one flying villain, whose identity and voice actor are still under wraps, but otherwise, these bad guys will be prowling the roads rather than the skies while pursuing their prey.

Although the film focuses only on this trio of Decepticons, the filmmaker promises these two will have more personality than usual.

“When the cast is too big, and you have a finite amount of time, there’s only so much you can do to create an investment in them,” Knight says. “This is a more personal, intimate, and character-driven story, so it felt right to keep the villain plot relatively simple and contained. If you keep things lean, you can add a lot of other stuff on top of it that makes it more enjoyable.”

We all know the third is Starscream basically being a field leader and air scout. But yeah, the first female Con. And Bassett at that, awesome.

So.... Bee vs 3 Cons? no allies for Bee?

They did such a great job with the Bumblebee and Starscream redesign to make it more like G1. These two new ones seem more reminiscent of Bay's take.

I can see that, but these designs are still a lot easier on the eyes.

They look like forgettable fodder. Which they are probably going to end up being.

Bay’s TFs were too insect-like. These look like ****ing Transformers IMO.

They don't really look far off from what the Transformers looked like in the first Movie.

I had some high hopes, when they revealed Bumblebee's new sleek and simple design. It's a shame that the Decepticons seem to retain the overly busy look from the previous Movies.

Overly busy is what they were in the first 3 movies.

Why does the red bot look like it has two alt modes? I see plane engines on his shoulders.

My thoughts on the new designs. An improvement, but still not great. Not where they should be.

The Decepticons do indeed look too much like the Bay-Formers, however they are at least rocking the signature 'red eyes' which most G1 Decepticons had.

So the news out of SDCC is that the mysterious seeker isn't Starscream... but Blitzwing.

Travis Knight says we'll also see Cybertron in this movie.
