So I trawled the so-called swampland called IMDb and I came across this dude's post in the BvS's IMDb forum which if true could be considered a form of spoiler:

They put the fear of God in you when you sign that paper to be in the movie. That being said, I think I can get away with a few details... I was at the Superman Statue unveiling ceremony; the mayor of Metropolis is a black woman (I forgot her name). That night after we shot it, the graffiti was a swastika believe it or not! I imagine the suits didn't want the Nazi symbol over the S shield lol. Side note - Snyder does seem to have an affinity for Nazi imagery. Weird. Anyhow... The President's name in this movie is Horner, I attended his Funeral. I was also present for the end of the movie and suffice it to say, that is spoiler mania so I am not going there lol. I will tell you it was shocking (lacking proper context of course) and insanely bad ass...

So I googled his username and came up with this- Fan Shares Details & Pic After Meeting Henry Cavill In Detroit:
http://www.henrycavillnews.com/2014/01/fan-shares-details-pic-after-meeting.html

After reading this guy's description and coupled with the trailer, I'm thinking that there is a theme of some facist ideology in BvS - it's no surprise that the soldiers bowing to Superman are wearing WWII era German helmet. And Surperman may not be best pleased that they co-opt him in their ideology of facist Übermensch. Or maybe I'm just wrong!

I have a feeling that Batman's "problem" with Superman will be pretty simple. He sees Superman as a potential threat. He watched the carnage in MOS, and now sees how some people are reacting to Superman (worshipping him as a god), and goes "this is dangerous, I have to do something." I'd be kind of cool if it turns out that this was all a "test" by Batman to see if Superman really is the hero that he claims/appears to be. "You say that you just want to do good, well then prove it to me."

I actually wouldn't have a problem with that. It would be true to Batman's character on multiple levels. Two of which are his morality and frankly, his ego. HE gets to vet who is and who is not a hero.

I actually think that the moment where we see Ben's face in close up might be about ego. Remember, trailers are cut to be misleading a lot of times. My sequences don't follow the film exactly. I could see that moment not being Bruce looking at the suit or getting angry looking at news reports, but of him seething that he couldn't take out Superman on his first try.mjust a thought.m

So Robin dies, Batman goes into retirement and, a couple of months later, he goes "Wait! I should totally build a suit of armor and go kick the alien's ass, not stand around here all retired! Duh!".

Considering that this is Batman we're talking about, I would assume that he would've been taking that time to gather information on how to defeat Superman.

Oh wow, while that would be a pretty big coincidence, you know having that happen at the exact same time as one another, I would effing love that.:hmr:

Yeah it would be a HUGE coincidence, but coincidence's happen in comics all the time lol.

more like
Robin dies
Batman feels guilty, weary and tired...becomes brutal...doesn't give a F anymore. Every person Batman stops, mugger or terrorist, gets beaten within an inch of his life. (The exact same situation happened before Tim became Robin).
MOS happens and Batman feels at some point in time he's going to have to take Superman out....begins building his suit.

Fixed.

Robin quit crime fighting in order to become a teen pop idol where he became addicted to booze, women and drugs...eventually overdosing on pills in a gotham hotel room after trashing the place.

Tragic story...

Mayimbe still think JGL will be coming back, but to play Nightwing as an homage to TDKR.

Call me petty but I want El Chipe's scoop to turn out true partially so that it can be rubbed in Eh Maybe's face that one of our own can find more accurate info than he can.

I don't see that happening. We all know that those two universes are separate. I don't feel there is any chance that JGL would come back to play the same character in another franchise.

fascinating. what if Lex was actually controlling this fascist Ubermencsch regime (through back channels of course) and having them do bad things in his name?

More and more I believe Supes is going to die to save mankind, only to have us begging for more by the end of JL: part I, makes for a well planned sequence of movies.

Whatever happened to all that Doomsday talk for BvS anyways? I could have sworn awhile back there was articles saying he was going to be apart of this movie... now nothing in recent memory indicates that.

Superman dying for mankind would be pretty amazing, if done right. Not that I want to see him die, but the emotional impact it could have for viewers and within the story could be pretty great... as long as he's back by the next film. :oldrazz:

Why must we wait a year for this?!? Ahhhhhh!

I could see Superman maybe dying sometime during JL1 and then come back in JL2. That would give us enough time to see Cavill more in the role before he sacrifices himself. With that said, I think we may get a hint of Doomsday in BvS, but he'll be the Big Bad in JL1, with Darkseid behind the scenes. Then Darkseid will be the Big Bad in JL2. I'm not basing this on anything in particular, but just a feeling.

I do wish they could work Brainiac into the DCCU at some point though...and use this model as inspiration maybe (I've always loved this artwork):

I mean, come on!

I love that design of Brainiac. I remember years ago picking up "Superman: Brainiac" by Geoff Johns... the cover had that design of Brainiac, and I thought then that would be a great design for film. :D

If they use Darkseid (which I can't image them NOT eventually using him) here is a concept I found that is interesting...at least different from the plain blue tunic that he is known for in the comics:

Certainly better than the New 52 look.

Yeah that's pretty sweet, there is something I don't like about it though. Probably the football shoulder pads. Lose that and it's great.
