BvS The BvS Rumor/Speculation Discussion Thread! - Part 2

It has and most people don't really believe it. I'm not saying I do, but I really hope it's true, because we'll at least then have an excuse for trashy green-haired Li'l Wayne.

Yea I actually wouldn't mind that - not really feeling the new Joker look at all...

That theory is BS. Snyder and Ayer have been talking about being true to the comic cannon, they would not do such an outrageous thing if we are to take their word seriously.

The theory is being entertained to death in the Suicide Squad thread if you're interested.

Also, how odd that people want this theory to be true just because they don't like the look of the Joker. Get over yourselves. I didn't like the look at all either. I've warmed up to it though and while there are still elements of the look that bug me, that is Joker. At least, wait and see.

Um, congratulations?

Wait and see what? I already know what this Joker looks and sounds like and I don't like it. I don't have to accept it, either. You like it now? All the more power to you. I'll probably have to wait for the other other reboot or just stick to my BTAS DVDs. I'm fine with it.

Fanboys are resistant to change but they usually come around and you will too soon :cwink:. It's not the first time people have hated the Joker's look.

I don't need to come around to anything, thank you. While I didn't love the panda eyes, I was mostly okay with Ledger's look. He had class. The suit wasn't cheap, after all. Trashy Joker isn't my kind of Joker, so I'd rather just stay clear of it.

Going to have a stab at plotting out the movie. Basing this off all the rumors I pertain to be true, and all the confirmed things we have been given.

[BLACKOUT]
  • Movie starts with Bruce Wayne's view point of the Black Zero Event and the Battle of Metropolis between Superman and Zod. Ending with him saving a little girl from the rubble of his Wayne Enterprises building.
  • Skip 2 years and we are given a montage of images of Superman saving people all around the world, with a voice over and clips of news programmes, debates all discussing the topic of Superman.
  • A ceremony is happening commemorating the deaths of those in the Black Zero Event, with a massive Superman statue unveiled in the middle of Heroes Park, Ground Zero.
  • Then the Black Zero Inquest on Capitol occurs headed by Senator Finch. Some action sequence happens (probably manipulated by Lex Luthor) in which Superman saves the day.
  • Bruce Wayne heads to the abandoned Wayne Mansion and talks with Alfred who follows him to discuss his plans for taking out Superman.
  • Lex Luthor holds a prestigious party covered by Lois & Clark, and attended by Bruce Wayne. A mysterious exotic girl (Wonder Woman) also attends and grabs Bruce Wayne's attention. Clark interviews Bruce who hints that he knows Clark's secret identity.
  • Bruce Wayne heads down to the Batcave for the first time in years, and begins his training again. He then heads out for on duty as Batman for the first time again.
  • Batman is all over the news about his reappearance, described as a vigilante thug.
  • At the Daily Planet, Clark sees this and wants to cover a story on the Batman so he can put an end to the Batman's reign of terror, but he is assigned to a Gotham Uni/Metropolis Uni football game instead.
  • Clark covers the game which has Bruce Wayne in the crowd, seemingly following Clark. Victor Stone is playing in the game for Metropolis.
  • Lex Luthor's chief thug, Anatoli Knyazev frames the Batman for more beatings, branding the Batman logo on the criminals.
  • Lex Luthor has possession of General Zod's corpse and has it transported to his Metropolis Research Facility where he also has a piece of Kryptonite. His team begin experimenting on the corpse with the alien rock.
(At some point Lex Luthor begins using propaganda to turn Batman and Superman on each other even more, sending Bruce newspaper clippings and having Superman's statue tainted)
  • Bruce gets into his Mech-Batsuit and goes to the old Bat-Signal and activates it for the first time since Jim Gordon's death, revealing his position for Superman to find him.
  • Superman see's and flies to Gotham before engaging the suppose "vigilante thug" to end his reign of terror. Batman's armor is powered by Kryptonite and brings Superman to a weakened state, but not fully depowered. The 2 battle across Gotham rooftops and in abandoned buildings, ending in a stalemate and Batman fleeing in the Batwing, whilst exchanging words that make both believe they may be fighting the wrong person.
  • Senator Finch and other Military Officials visit LexCorp as Lex's new defence program designed to replace 'Alien immigrants' is nearly ready. They have genetically modified General Zod's body into a biological weapon.
  • Bruce returns to the Batcave to recieve a lecturing of Alfred on his war against Superman.
  • Superman returns to his apartment and talks with Lois, who has been investigating Lex Luthor's recent Defence Program and reveals that Lex has General Zod's corpse and is experimenting with it and also collars Superman for being too busy focusing on Batman.

At this point I'm not sure where exact plot points. All that I know will happen is Doomsday is what LexCorp scientists have created and he breaks out of LexCorp killing everybody in his path. Superman and Batman make peace, and both are confronted by Wonder Woman who joins forces with them. They draw Doomsday out of Metropolis and onto land just outside the city where Superman and Wonder Wonder battle him on the ground, whilst Batman is in the batwing. They obviously defeat him and agree that teamwork is the best way forward.

The one scene I'm not sure about is the funeral scene in Smallville. It all hints to Superman's death. Martha, Bruce, Lois were all in attendence. I can't see Superman's death and resurrection happening so soon though.

Michael's account of getting stuck, as well as the article in general, is pretty damn hilarious.

So a man who clearly doesn't wash his hair, clip his fingernails, and shows no signs of dental hygiene has class because....his suit cost a lot?

Whet?

We know the movie starts with the scene with horses and has Lois Lane in it.

Do you have a link to that by any chance?

Bailey Chase on his role in BvS:

http://www.slashfilm.com/batman-v-superman-trailer-shot/

“I’m not a superhero but I’ve got a nice, cool role that opens the movie,” Chase said. “I get to do quite a bit with Amy Adams and I can’t wait to see it.

It was just such a thrill to work with Zack Snyder and something on that scale, I’ve never done that before. It’s a completely different medium from doing cable TV so they have a lot of time and a lot of money.”

“I had about three weeks of rehearsal,” Chase said. “I’m pretty good on a horse but I had more horseback training. I got some more gun training, got to work with a retired SEAL. It’s going to look awesome.”

“I’m saying it might’ve been required for me, yes,” Chase said. “I see some horses and some pretty cool guns.”

Maybe the scene he's talking about happens during the events of the battle of metropolis after Lois gets saved from the ship during superman's fight with zod?

I still highly believe that the metropolis scene in the trailer is how the movie opens up, it wouldn't make sense showing that scene later on in the film.

Interesting. Do we think Chase is playing a fellow reporter?
