Although I 100% agree that the taking down of Doomsday should be a team effort. I do believe that the final blow should be Superman's and Superman's alone. He is a Superman villian after all. It would be like Wonder Woman or Superman defeating The Joker. He's Batman's villian so it should be Batman's triumph.
Yeah, most likely will be it's only fair.

This is what I'm talking about. The character known for the DOS story getting taken out by a single blow (or grenade blast, exploding batarang, wet willy, Three Stooges eye poke, ect.) from Batman is a disservice to Superman. Batman can be made to be useful but when you have to contrive the story to build him up simply cuz he doesn't have flashy powers, it's bad for the rest of the DC characters and it's actually bad for Batman.

I think Batman should contribute something important to the win, but it will most likely be strategic or tech-y, or both. I should think it will be Supes that finally KOs Doomsday (agreed that is appropriate since it is one of his classic villains from canon). But since (traditionally, at least) DD can't really die, they'll have to find some ingenious way of containing him after he falls and regenerates. I'm wondering if that will involve something mystical from Diana. Maybe sending him through a portal of some type to a dimension in which he remains trapped? (That would also be the sort of thing that a New 52 inspired Aquaman could do, but we're only going to see a glimpse of him somewhere in the film.)

It would be cool if you had Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman workin together to snap Doomsdays neck from three different angles.
Supes probably wants that beefy neck all for himself.

"You're gonna be masterpiece." *snaps and laughs uncontrollably*

I could imagine Superman suggests he use Batman's kryptonite on Doomsday. Batman would realise/say it could kill Superman too, with Superman saying it's necessary and worth it, takes the kryptonite and starts beating Doomsday with it before he himself weakens too much.

Something along those lines would also show Batman the lengths Superman will go to protect humanity.

As to why Wonder Woman wouldn't use the Kryptonite, I got nothing.
Except for Amazons maybe having kryptonian ancestry *evil grin*

I like this a lot. Except for the part that WW is kryptonian. I never liked that rumor.

Superman telling Bruce to kill him and Doomsday would be a fantastic way to show his sacrifice (like in the DOS storyline) and earning resolution and respect with Batman. I honestly think that's how it's gonna go down and you just spoiled it!!!!!!

Batman being any use at all in a fight alongside the Justice League makes everyone else on the team look bad?
I really do hate that logic because the Avengers somehow manage just fine with Hawkeye,Captain America, and Black Widow on the team.

No one every says wow Iron Man and Thor are so useless when they take enemies down let alone get hits in.

I'm gonna throw out some speculation: after not being able to stop Doomsday, Superman, or Wonder Woman, eventually throws him into space where he eventually lands and begins ravaging Apokolips.

Darkseid would off Doomsday like a child. Or maybe even just take him over and use him as a n evil soldier...actually that'd be awesome.

I remember an animated movie where they cloned like a hundred Doomsdays and Batman, Superman and WW teamed up to fight them all. They were weakened clones though so..yeah.

Actually, in Superman: Hunter/Prey, they show Doomsday straight up destroying Darkseid with relative ease. Not sure if it's still canon or not, but Darkseid was ultimately no match for Doomsday, even with his omega beams.

Actually Doomsday forced Darkseid to flee after he killed his 2nd in command

Really. Wow. Dommsday OP Please nerf. : funny:

Guys I would love to read your thoughts on how the trinity + Aquaman will defeat Doomsday. Please share them...

They'll give Lex time enough to get into his reverse-engineered Kryptonian armor thing you see in the toys. Then he'll save Metropolis, making it look like Batman, Superman and the others were responsible for the destruction. Possibly making some significant financial gains in the process.

This... this could work.

So.

Syndrome from the Incredibles.

Syndrome from the Incredibles.

Wikipedia says Syndrome is a mad fanboy. My idea for Lex has him as a pragmatic businessman willing to use his tools to further his industrial empire. So, not Syndrome. Assuming Wikipedia is a good source for this.

I personally don't like Lex Powersuit so hope not.
The idea and principle behind your(his) business plan is 'sound', I just don't like Lex physically going up against any majorly superpowered being.

Didn't in the comics, doubt I would now.

Thats exactlt what I thought. Ofcourse I wpuld not have a problem with it. Incredibles is a great place to draw Superhero inspiration from.

Regarding Lex's battle suit, for me it all depends on execution. I'm neutral toward it. If it gets worked in in a way that works within the film it's fine with me.

It would be very cool if it shows superman, ww, and aquaman just waylaying the crap out of Doomsday with little or no affect.
Meanwhile, Batman is off to the side, studying the weaknesses of Doomsday.
After careful study, he sneaks up behind Doomsday and hits a weak spot, knocking him out/down.
Can you imagine the look on the big three's faces if something like that happened.
A human that knocked Doomsday down/out. gold.

Either that or Batman is able to train Doomsday like Syrio Forel can train dogs. Batman just has to become the pack leader and express dominance.

Think about it. Doomsday would then become Batmans pet and Batman can bring him out to fight other big bads like Darkseid.

He could also teach Doomsday his no kill rule, teach him to change his ways, and help him learn that all life is precious just like Jedi Morgan learned.

Have you never seen The Incredibles? It is hands down the best Fantastic Four movie ever.

And while Syndrome does start off as a fanboy in the prologue, he becomes very much a pragmatic businessman willing to use his tools to further his industrial empire.

You're idea is good, but it has 100% been done before and there is no way it could show up in the movie without direct comparisons to "The Incredibles".

 Doomsday kicked Darkseid ass in Hunter/Prey, but is it true Darkseid beat him in a re-match? Not read any new Superman comes for a while.

So as a warm up I bougth a antology issue with Bats and Supes best figths, it includes the one from Hush, the one where Bats puts a black rock in his chest, the one imagined by kids where Bats has no time for nookie, and 3 more to read, the last one is the one from TDKR.

Cool material. Lets see if the movie grabs inspiration form some of these (Besides the TDKR one obs)
