BvS The BvS Rumor/Speculation Discussion Thread! - Part 4

I could imagine Superman suggests he use Batman's kryptonite on Doomsday. Batman would realise/say it could kill Superman too, with Superman saying it's necessary and worth it, takes the kryptonite and starts beating Doomsday with it before he himself weakens too much.

Something along those lines would also show Batman the lengths Superman will go to protect humanity.

As to why Wonder Woman wouldn't use the Kryptonite, I got nothing.
Except for Amazons maybe having kryptonian ancestry *evil grin*

They'll give Lex time enough to get into his reverse-engineered Kryptonian armor thing you see in the toys. Then he'll save Metropolis, making it look like Batman, Superman and the others were responsible for the destruction. Possibly making some significant financial gains in the process.

I really like the idea of Lex helping save the day at some point, maybe in JL -- thus further branding himself as exemplary, and highlighting the notion that mankind should be self-sufficient -- but you already have no less than 3 people fighting Dooms in this one. Also, do away with the idea that Lex is a sucker for profit... he wouldn't give a damn at this point, he's got bigger fish to fry and an actual, much more interesting, anti-Superman ideology to fight for.

I posted this earlier. As my name suggests; I work in around theaters; earlier today I downloaded the newest trailer from the Deluxe Cinema Digital Content sat-link and watched the trailer.

It starts with Alfred controlling the Bat-Plane and dropping Batman off into a fight with a dozen or so guys. (Really cool scene)

Lots of shots from previous trailers.

Bruce telling Diana "I've known a few women like you." Diana, "You've never known a woman like me." Shot of WW flying.

It ends with Superman flying armored Batman around and then trying to punch him & Batman catching Superman's arm.

Overall better than the last one.

But we know that WW doesn't fly.

Also, when that guys says something like, "Interesting there is a shot in a montage of two people making out in a tub. Didn't get a clear enough look to identify either", then you know he's making it up.

Not claiming that he's legit. Just that his description sounded interesting.

As for WW flying -he could be seeing her in mid-air during her jump --much like Faora in MOS:

I like this a lot. Except for the part that WW is kryptonian. I never liked that rumor.

Superman telling Bruce to kill him and Doomsday would be a fantastic way to show his sacrifice (like in the DOS storyline) and earning resolution and respect with Batman. I honestly think that's how it's gonna go down and you just spoiled it!!!!!!

Its a great idea but ending the film with Superman killed, in effect, by Batman is not something they will do.

Agree that they'd never have Batman 'kill' Superman, and didn't suggest it. I just had a thought Superman would ask for Batman's kryptonite to use it on Doomsday.

1. Superman shows the lengths he will go to help humanity. This doesn't guarantee he dies though.
2. Batman giving Superman the only weapon Batman has to (try) stop Superman if he was as dangerous as he originally thought, shows Batman's growth.
3. Have Batman actually save Superman's life after he stops Doomsday. More growth for Batman, useful outside of just punching street-lv badguys etc. And shows (if not for outside help), Superman was certainly prepared to die saving us (again).

My only issue is why wouldn't Wonder Woman use the Kryptonite. She's not as strong or fast as Superman, but I like it when she's a much better more skilful fighter. She could/should have tried.

Maybe some (slightly corny?) Superman reply to her suggesting she do it, like "all of this is happening because I brought to this planet, and I will end it!" or some such (I'm no writer as you can see )

This brings something up for me. In the excellent Carlin era three part story DARK KNIGHT OVER METROPOLIS, the last pages are Superman going to the Batcave after their adventure and Superman gives Batman Luthor's Kryptonite ring and tells him despite their differences he trusts Bruce implicitly and wants the means to stop or even kill him to be in the hands of a man he trusts with his life. If there is any Kryptonite left over by the end of the film, I really would love it if that is what Superman does, delivers it to Bruce in the cave. A true token of trust.

This is pure speculation and I have no inside knowledge and I dont know if already discussed but what if, the scenes featuring Knightmare Batman actually take place in Earth 2? We see this version of Batman trying to fight off Darkseid and fail and then after Batman is killed in Earth 2 Darkseid turns his attention the main Earth? I'm thinking this is how the movie ends? Just pure guess thoughts?
