BvS The BvS Rumor/Speculation Discussion Thread!

I would have maybe bought them working on some scenes (but not full shoot) for Justice League since the BvS shoot has been so long. I would not buy them making this into a 2 part movie though.

Kind of disappointed it isn't a two parts. But at the same time glad 'Enter the Knight' isn't an official title. Twas a bit corny sounding.

They obviously stole the idea for title from that Joseph (the Hothead) Gordon-Levitt's film that's due to come out:

Part of me was kind of exited for the mere fact of being able to see some of BvS on 2015 (First part in Oct) but to be honest, I am not a fan of splitting movies, I rather they give me one cohesive film even if its a big long like TDKR.

Its up to the filmmakers to keep the audiences engaged and I am sure they can do that with BvS, so even if the wait is a bit grueling, I prefer they releasing one really good film. All things considered, I am happy Cavill debunked the rumor.

...I have it on no good authority that the 2 part Man of Steel sequel will be a trilogy. !

...and remember, Cavill said it was not a 2 part...and actors never lie about upcoming movies...
: /

...and if It were true, it would not be a " split" movie. It would have been planned as a two part all along.
Didn't they say a few years ago when this production began, ; )that they may be filming 2 films at the same time sort of like Superman and Superman 2... Uh...

...who's they! ?

well it's about 3 weeks from the release of Jupiter Ascending. I wonder how long until we see a rating for a BvS trailer on the Alberta film website? I'd think it would pop up a week or so in advance right?

Yes. I've always seen trailers get rated exactly a week before the release of the movie they're attached to. Hopefully WB actually announces it and we won't have to wait for it to be confirmed by the ratings site.

you'd think they would if they wanted to use it to sell tickets. why waste an opportunity to sell a few hundred more tickets?

I still have this feeling that Jupiter Ascending might be a tad bit early, even for a teaser. I'd be delighted to be wrong though.

If there's no teaser attached to Jupiter Ascending, I could see them waiting for Mad Max: Fury Road to put the first trailer out.

Why couldnt WB release a trailer. Even here in India some newspapers published BvS news.

Everyone is ragging on Jupiter Ascending. Am I the only one who thinks it looks cool?

I like how Jupiter Ascending looks VFX wise since WB can use the same team if they are making space scenes in future DC movies.

Yeah I'm interested to see it. People just don't have faith in something unless it's a comic book adaptation or a reboot of a huge franchise anymore.

the same people who hate movies before they are released and will eventually like them if the bandwagon loves it while also claiming they were fans from the start.

it makes sense to release a teaser in the upcoming month or two

we gotta remember, this movie is coming out in March 2016 and NOT summer 2016. usually teasers for this sort of big film drop 1 year in advance and it's already getting to that point

The very biggest tentpole releases, such as BvS, usually get their first teaser trailer seven to twelve months in advance. A teaser with Jupiter Ascending would stretch that to about 13 months. A teaser with Mad Max: Fury Road would be about 10 months in advance, a shorter lead time than the teasers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Man of Steel, but a longer lead time than those for Superman Returns and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

I honestly think Jupiter Ascending looks fine. I could do without the Elf-thing Channing Tatum, but if the reviews are decent I might see it.

Jupiter Ascending is a writeoff for WB, the fact they delayed it from summer to February makes me think it's a stinker.

I imagine the first trailer will be with Avengers Age of Ultron or Furious 7, Avengers is more likely

So I was watching a bit of the Superman/Batman Apocalypse animated film earlier today on one of the HBO channels and it got me thinking about BvS and all of these Doomsday rumors. I gotta say I'm not opposed to them taking a bit of inspiration from a couple of scenes in the animated film for BvS. In particular, when the army of Doomsday clones attack through one of Darkseid's boom tubes. It would be an interesting way of introducing Doomsday without being the real Doomsday (which could saved for a Death of Superman movie). While also setting up Darkseid for the Justice League.

Personally I'd like to see Supergirl introduced and the reason Darkseid comes to Earth, abducts her and then sets up Justice League Part 1 for her rescue mission and then Part 2 defending Darkseid's attack on Earth. It keeps Superman as the center of the group but gives opportunity for the other members to keep him in check. And introducing a Green Lantern or Martian Manhunter would flow better as well. It also has them team up away from Earth which give them something different from the Avengers. But I know that's not going to happen so why am I even talking about this lol
