There was this rumour about Superman being kinda exiled by the end of BvS. Justice League would be only Batman, Aquaman, Cyborg, The Flash and Wonder Woman. Maybe it's true?

If Superman was exiled at the end of BvS, I would assume that he returns at the beginning of JL.

Just like if Superman 'dies' in BvS, I assume the ending would reveal that he didn't actually die, ala TDKReturns.

I had a theory that Brainiac is the Silver Surfer to Darkseid. Brainiac collects the information of the planet and then tells Darkseid how to conquer it. Although Brainiac would be collection the information and possibly cities for himself like in the comics as well.

Brainiac wasn't Darksied's "herald" in the DCAU and they worked together in TWILIGHT only because Brainiac was threatening Apokalips, so ole stone face didn't have much control there really.

Brainiac is always a collector of info. Personally I don't get the jumping to conclusions that Brainiac would be the enemy in ANY JL film. I can tell the ball park age of most getting on this band wagon because it appeals to people whose first exposure to JL was the animated series or various recent video games, but Brainiac is far better suited to be a big bad in a solo Superman film, seeing as he's arguably Superman's number two enemy. Sorry... This Brainy is appearing in JL sounds like a rumor started by fans that are teens/early twenties FOR fans that are teens/early twenties.

Brainiac as first JL villain is pretty obvious, transitioning to JL2 with Darkseid who could be behind the scenes in the first JL a bit. Like I said though, very very obvious thinking here. We don't know if there will be another main villain other than Lex in BvS either. Assuming again the obvious choice, that they could do a Metallo and Lex story it would give a good transition to all 3 films. BvS having Lex/Metallo, JL having Brainiac/Lex, and JL2 having a bit of Lex, Brainiac, and a lot of Darkseid. Again, very obvious thinking here.

No. Not obvious in the least. Other than maybe New Gods involvement (MAYBE), sorry... I fail to see any of that as obvious. I know what is obvious to me is that using Brainiac, Superman's number two villain, in a JL film, robs his solo film of using a powerful enemy. Unless ya'll WANT another solo Superman film where Luthor is the main threat? Also, the JL has more than enough villains that are better suited to go up against the team than cannibalizing one of it's members rogues first time out the gate on film.

I hope it is just a rumor cause I also wanted brainiac for a solo superman movie. And honestly I think having Darksied for JL explains the part one and two at the end of the JL titles

Thank you. Just setting up the overly convoluted back story of the New Gods (even streamlined) is going to take some big bites of screen time. To do that AND also include Brainiac?

I don't think he is even referencing the rumor. Seems like a logical progression fanboys have had for years and years. It is very obvious. People have been talking a Lex and Metallo film, then a Lex and Brainiac, and then a Lex and Darkseid followup for the Superman films. Now it just gets adjusted for the same idea expanding to the JL films instead.

yeah and Lex Luthor would be arguably better suited to a Superman solo movie because he's Superman's number 1 villain. Does that make him wrong for BvS? NO

Brainiac being used as the JL villain instead of as the Superman solo villain works.

I could be perceiving this incorrectly, but the way you're acting actually comes across as more immature than mature. Acting like your ideas are somehow better because you're older and familiar with more older material than younger fans is pretentious.

Your argument also doesn't make sense.

That demographic that you're subtly insulting is also very familiar with STAS which prominently featured Brainiac against Superman in a solo setting in multiple well received episodes.

That demographic would be just as likely to suggest a solo Superman movie with Brainiac as they would a JL movie with Brainiac.

Brainiac and Darkseid just make sense as the JL villains. No other villains have the same balance of threat level and popularity that Brainiac and Darkseid do.

I REALLY hope that Brainiac is the villain of JL1 and Darkseid should be the villain of JL2.


A Superman solo with Brainiac as the villain would be great too, who says we can't see two movies with Brainiac. Maybe Brainiac could return in a different form after being almost completely destroyed in the JL film. Luthoriac? Lexiac? I could see it happening and I wouldn't mind that for the second solo.

There are other options for another Superman solo, the dude has one of the best rogues galleries ever
