Does anyone put stock in the rumour about Commissioner Gordon? It would be a huge disappointment if he's been killed. Maybe a bit left field but I'd love to see David Morse as Gordon.

The way I see it, the movie has enough characters as it is and the story will reach beyond Gotham's crime world, so putting Gordon in would have probably meant giving him a pretty limited, small role. It's frustrating seeing a big actor, or a big character, playing a meaningless part. Maybe Gordon has more use dead (as a memory, as a motivator) than alive.

Kurt Russell, along with Bryan Cranston, are my personal favorites to play Gordon

Cranston, Russell or nobody! If Gordon is dead it should definitely be Cranston in flashbacks. You need a couple of scenes where the actor will bring presence but be emotionally solid. That kind of thing works really well when the actor already has a short-hand with the director.

I don't like Devin (Badass Digest) at all, but do you really think he took speculation from a forum and posted it as a rumor? Either way, it's not some crazy theory that no one could have imagined. Older Batman, no Gordon casting... I don't think it's true though. We'll see.

I don't think her tweet means anything. She probably likes Jeff Nichols. I wouldn't mind her as Mera, though.

I'm just making the point that, if you consider Malone cast as his daughter and the absence of any James Gordon casting news... it is a deduction that could be made whether it ends up being true or not. It seems to be a speculative point pulled for a rumor. If not, I guess I'm just brilliant thinking ahead of the curve on this one

I think you missed that the point was not literal to the post, but to the action of deduction in logic towards the idea that Gordon appears to be absent in BvS... and thus could possibly be dead. It's not a rumor that was likely pulled from a source is all I'm saying.
