But he can be outwitted. He's predictable. And he's also compassionate. Those things can be used against him. Also I'm pretty sure there will be some Kryptonite involved. It's inevitable that he is at least going to be temporarily out of action.
I can see him weakened, definitely. All the best Batman/Superman fights have been that way - Red Son and TDK Returns.

After the example George Clooney has set, I don't see big name actors sticking around just for the money.

The material has to be good and/or the talent has to have a passion for the character, like Ben with Batman (he's a longtime fan).

Wouldn't it be interesting if Luthor uses Batman as a kind of stalking horse in BvS? Like, he observes the planning and tactics Batman employs, and learns what he can from each encounter Batman and Superman have, then enacts his own scheme, now more educated than ever on how to end Superman thanks to Batman.

That'd imply Batman is foolish/sloppy enough to have his methods be analyzed in the long-term. Not a fan to be honest.

"But superman can be outwitted" :whatever:

your right. Superman is just a big dumb ox. He's nowhere near the intellect of the Batman. Call me an insecure superman fanboy, I know you all will. But everyone acts like batman has Stephen hawking level intellect. Haha. I'm sure superman can handle it

Superman views the world from a different perspective. Batman is willing to do almost anything to win. Superman holds himself back most of the time. Which makes him compassionate, not dumb.

Superman, even in fights where Batman is using trick in the book, holds back. Physically and intellectually.

Batman could kill Superman. But nowhere near easily as Supes can kill him. Even when weakened.

This aint some crime boss from Gotham though... It's Lex Luthor we're talkin' bout. :word: The Da Vinci of Crime. The Greatest Criminal Mind of Our Time!! :cwink: This aint Batman getting one upped by Clue Master.

Another thing to bear in mind regarding whether Luthor manipulates Batman in some way, this is a veteran Batman and it's possible he may be affected by a recent trauma depending on what events from the comics they're going to fold into the back story.

Superman is super intelligent too. (but most adaptations treat him as normal IQ to give Batman any chance:oldrazz:). I hope they do justice to Superman in the IQ section:whatever:

no one is calling him a big dumb oaf. but compared to Batman he's inexperienced. Batman has studied tactical combat, human psychology and just from his own experiences comes more prepared to a conflict than Clark would. He's a strategist. That's his jam. So of course he's got that over on a less experienced opponent.

As a superman fan i'd want batman to be better at figuring stuff out, ie, holmes level detective skills.
Thats not putting superman down, he is extremely intelligent also, its just that I want batman to be better at something, just like i'd want the Flash to be faster than supes.

There are ways to show where Batman's strengths lay without making Superman or everyone around him (JL) look like useless fools... To bad we often get a bunch of useless fools and a competent Batman though.

Exactly. People b***h about Bat-god but seem to have no problem with Super-god. He's not as perfect as these people would like to believe, just like I, a huge Bat-fan, know that Batman isn't perfect, and this supposed Bat-god thing is a great exaggeration made up by paranoid Super-fans.

Just asking, The two three stories that I know of where the two raced, they ended in a draw. Have there been any other stories where one or the other came out the clear winner?

It's been a gradual thing since the Post Crisis era. I read a bunch of Silver Age stories in a FLASH VS SUPERMAN collection just on the races. In the last one Flash "beats" Superman, but then again both were crawling on their hands and knees to stop some doomsday device the Phantom Zone criminals had created. Flash got to the shut off lever first and says "I win..." as the sort of were still racing (Oh.... The Silver Age...).

Post Crisis though Superman was of course significantly depowered, and his super speed was no different. Even flying he was no longer capable of light speed or breaking the Time Barrier or many other things he used to have in common with Flash. Now, Wally West as Flash was also nowhere near his Silver Age Speed at the start of the Post Crisis but he was able to beat Superman in a footrace around the world orchestrated by Mr. Mxyzplk. Eventually came the breaking of mental and physical blocks that allowed Wally to attain greater velocities until the coming of the Speed Force era. For some time Flash has been able to outclass Superman in terms of pure speed... And that's fine. That's his thing.

eh it's the other way around. ever heard of a Superman fan claim why Supes is better and they answer "because he's Superman!"? also I doubt Superman fans are the ones who made up the Batgod thing.

Damn right.

Batman should take it easy on him.

It will be Clark who interviews him and not the other way around. LAwd.

:oldrazz:

because Clark actually has a real job as a journalist and didn't grow up having to be fed with a silver spoon. :oldrazz:

Bats was never fed with a silver spoon. He was able to feed himself the day he was born (9 months prep time in the womb, yo). And his spoon was not made of silver; it was made from a synthetic alloy he created in his lab, and it doubled as a deadly weapon. :o

You act like that is a bad thing.

Batfleck wiping his tears with hundreds. :oldrazz:

BatMAN might wipe his tears with hundreds. BatFLECK wipes his tears with singles right before stuffing them down a stripper's G-string. ;)
